One thing - is there any good way to get rid of the Lich-Skull of Arkyn? I've klilled him with holy water arrows in the past, but its an annoying, long process. Is there an easier way?
Ottoj55 on 10/12/2004 at 07:51
g'len, not that i could find, i stayed out of site behind the corner, drew up an arrow, leaned out fired, and drew up again, work quick and its pretty easy.

Yes, me too - I was just wondering ifthere was a more interesting way of doing so. Btw, ever tried to frob the gem in the skull's eye before you destroy the Lich? It always crashes my game.

Ghost him. Sneak back around to the left behind the skull. Then you can grab it all, including the eyes and sneak back out. No problem.

People sometimes experience a crash when taking one of the eyes. If you do, just leave it behind. It has a seperate loot total and doesn't add in to your main one so there's no need to have it.

Are you sure about this Nightwalker? I remember getting the crash if "waking" the skull after taking both eyes. The additional loot count pops up all right, but I think it adds to the total amount as well. I could be mistaken though, it has been a while...

there are a lot of odd mission fail bugs in CL that i've yet to understand,
in the police fort in a meeting with basso there is a torch, dousing it is a mission failure. and the monsters in midnight in murkbell kill mortals on sight, but g'lens monster resulted in failure.
some of the technical wizardry must have bugs that couldn't be shaken out, its odd.

yes it does, its that the entire crypt is tacked on to the mission for no real reason, purah is a writer, so i would like to know why this mini story is there. in the second mission the cardinal makes mention of arkhyn in some writings. still the crypt is very out of place.
I also thought it felt quite "optional" for such a huge part of the mission. At first, I completed the mission without doing it, my reasoning being that it sounded far too dangerous and stupid for what it was worth (no sense in getting killed over such things) and only when the mission ended did I realise that it was actually supposed to be the bulk of the mission.
I realised that mostly by the fact that my loot count was WAY WAY below the total. So I figure you do it mainly for the loot.
