Huntress IS having major problems and her game is unpatched. The first objective would not tick off so she won't be able to finish the level. After having read these posts, I have passed the message on to her that she should install the patch if she decides to restart. My game is patched and everything works perfectly. :)

If I want to play it I guess I'll have to patch it. I've been putting off the patch mainly because of download size 32 megs, I believe -- I have dial up internet.
I thought about it some more and I know that this isn't the first FM I've had problems playing. There was one other -- by another designer-- that had freindly AI in the streets and they attacked me as well. I don't remember the name of it, but i do know that Garrett started out in a hammerite prison, Nightwalker and Peter Smith tried to help me through that FM too, but to no avail. I know I had some problems with Purahs FM CC too. I don't remember if I finished CC or not, but maybe that's why CC didn't go over very well. Too many people with the unpatched version.
Everything in the mission looks great. I'm running with a Pentium 4 ~ 1.7gigs, Geforce 3 64DDR Ti200 video card, 256megs ram, and Sound Blaster Live sound. I can play with the fog on or off with no slow downs anywhere in the mission. The fog looks strange though, it's a hazy shade of blue, I ended up turning it off because I can not see the beautiful textures as well.
Thanks, it'll prolly be a few days before I get the whole patch. Hopefully it will work.
Fingers crossed,
howie

Also, in mission 1, what are the other ways into Merkabel besides
climbing the vinces?
Aight. First, a small gripe. In act one, what's up with Basso running off like a punk and screaming about a thief when he saw me stealing the arrow off the guard across from him? I'm aware that I'm not supposed to let anyone know I'm a thief, but Basso sort of already knew , so I'm thinking it was a mistake, or someone *glares at Purah and team Calendra* has been taking this objective too seriously :laff:.
Onto me question:
How do I get past the area in the tomb with the "fools gold for a counterfeit king" (or however its worded in the tome)? I've frobbed it and quickly jumped out, got rid of the spiderwebs, looted the room that opens up, but now what? I noticed the floor before the body sinks down when I walk upon it.. Does this change the preceeding area (I haven't tried to go back yet, because I fear a trap will ensnare me)? I've frobbed the necklace and got back to the entrance, but upon proceeding through the first portal don't see any two arches (as the tome told me I would see), and I've opened all four doors (including the one with the arrows that shoot out.. lucky I'm so clever to pick it from the side :p), but alas, none bring me closer to my goal. I would read the entire walkthrough, except I don't want to read every spoiler.
deadman.

And to make it worse I accidentally quick saved instead of loading when I was dying, that put me back 1/2 gametime.
There's no doubt I will play again after getting a Geforce card!

You can also get to murkbell through the apartments, where you see Mercedez on a balcony, there's a wall to mantle over.
deadman - tomb help -
Don't frob the necklace in that room. Go back out and up the hallway to where it turns right. There's a pile of bones on the floor here. You can frob one of them to open a door to your left. Watch out though, when you go through, hug the left side because the center is trapped.
I think everyone knows this but me.
But anyway, I have gotten inside to tomb past the moving stone but I can't go any farther than the arch of purple mist. I am having a hard time understanding the riddle. Anyone want to lend a bone? (This is for the prelude mission, and I am in the room with the massive demon wall carving who spits fire arrows)
Help!!!

There's no doubt I will play again after getting a Geforce card! I know. Reloading sucks toilet water. This new system is smoking hot on reloads though. In thief gold all I see is a flash of the screen and I'm back in the game. I timed it on CL and it takes 14 seconds to reload from a quick save. Well..... at least when I'm also on the internet it does. It may be faster when I shut my browser down. :D :p
