I did notice a strange crumpled note laying on the ground behind the museum that I couldn't pick up, any ideas as to what this was?

If I remember correctly, you can pick up this note before you release the undead. I do believe I picked it up before hand. After the undead are released it is no longer frobable.

I tried a few things here:
Rope arrowed out past the Duchess at the very beginning and got to the paper before the meeting ended -- No. Garrett had not yet said "I'm on my way." After the meeting with the Duchess and on my way to the Cathedral -- No. Loaded up my very last save just before destroying the Cylix in the fire and tried to give the Cylix to the invisible Cylix ward on Watercrest Island. He wasn't interested. Okay, how about after the invisible ward is dead? Dunno. I killed him alright but the objective to not kill any humans failed me. I can't think of anything else right now but will see if any more ideas come to mind. So far, I've tried regularly throughout the mission and it's never been accessible.

I can't seem to locate the amulet. I know it's in a trunk, underwater, between the Cathedral and Black Die. I've found a couple of other trunks and some other interesting things, but alas, no amulet.
Where might said amulet be located? Am I stupid or just unobservant? No, wait, don't answer that one. ;)
Next, I invest in diving equipment.
Nightwalker on 24/4/2002 at 18:56
LOL! The diving equipment might not be a bad investment for this one.
If you come out the hole in the wall from the Cathedral grounds and into the water, there's a grate to your left (unless you came in this way, in which case it's open!) Swim just through that hole, then straight down to the bottom. There's a hole that leads down to a small cavern and the chest with the Amulet is in there. :)
I think Nightwalker is right, it probably is just trash. Perhaps you were thinking of a different note howie. Or maybe its another secret. Someone should ask Purah about this one.

Thank you for the help. ;)
And now, another question:
I decided to let the mummies in the museum do my work for me, but now I can't find the lantern guard's corpse to get the key to the vault. Does he disappear if you didn't pickpocket the key before NLD? I do have a save from before then, if I have to go back. I want the goodies in that vault...
Nightwalker on 27/4/2002 at 21:38
He should still be there, somewhere. Check all the corpses for keys. Maybe he dropped his lantern?? :)

Okay, that is just too darn cute. I "used" the vampyre's eye to see what would happen, and:
I got my own pet zombie! Very fun, when it came to causing a little mayhem, but how do you send him away? He's a bit too devoted and he's CERTAINLY too noisy to keep around if I want to sneak through the city without killing every poor guard and civilian I come across. I tried locking him in the Gleaming Facet, but he opens the door and follows.
Cheers!
