********************* MORE SPOILERS **********************
Some more questions!
(1) How do you avoid being killed when you drop the cylix in the forge? The sign says the forge is very hot, but I haven't found anything to protect myself from the heat yet.
(2) Many people are talking about assembling an amulet (gems, spell book etc..) but I haven't triggered this objective yet (I have read about the gems and found one of them) - is it in the third and final mission or have I missed something?

1) To avoid being killed, just stand back farther and throw the Cylix into the forge. You won't take any damage.
2) Assembling the Amulet is in something you can do in the second mission but it isn't an objective. It's a side quest that you can do or not do, whatever you like. It's fun to find all the bits and it's useful after assembled.

I'm playing this mission right now, and thought that it was strange that Garrett is weaponless, despite spending an entire mission meeting with Basso to get his equipment. It doesn't make that much sense. Atleast ghosting will give me a lot more time to admire the amazing architecture throughout the level.

Starting with minimal equipment is explained in the mission briefing; Garrett wasn't expecting
to be sent on an errand on short notice and then be double-crossed. (Don't know why I bothered to spoilerize that last part. Anyone who hasn't played the mission and is reading this far into the thread deserves to be spoiled.) All the stuff provided by Basso is waiting for Garrett at the appropriate place.
Hey, it's less than a month until the release date of the Servithon Quest and you have time to play Calendra's Legacy?
ME!.the.thief on 20/8/2002 at 03:40
The double-cross did catch Garret by surprise, but I thought he was also planning on breaking into some other buildings and stealing some extra loot (painting, dagger). Doesn't really matter though, as I don't mind ghosting once and a while.
Ah, watching the clock I see. :laff: I simply needed a break, from reading and building so I decided the play this great mission!

"To avoid being killed, just stand back farther and throw the Cylix into the forge."
Thanks. For some reason I was pressing the 'T' key - I must have had that as a bind for throw in some other game!
I managed to finish the whole mission pack since my last post. Murkbell was the best, most atmospheric mission for me. The level design is great.
Thankyou Purah!

How do I get into the cathedral instead of from the front (as far as I can tell its the front), or ARE there any other ways??
Nightwalker on 24/8/2002 at 18:54
Getting in the front doors would be very difficult. There are two other ways in:
There is a ladder up to a balcony around the back of the Cathedral. One of the guards patrolling outside has a key to the door at the top. If you keep going past the balcony ladder, you'll end up almost all the way back around to the front. If you keep looking up, you'll see a second storey window that looks different than the others. You can rope arrow up and go in that window.
thanks, I kept failing the mission going in the front

This FM is fantastic! If you take your time and poke around you can be glued to your seat for hours. Wasting time, yup.. I have run into a few puzzlers, but Nightwalker I don't know how to use the 'spoiler' to coverup some of my points. ges im jus dum
: I had no trouble following Mercedes if I stayed in my room until she k.o.'d the lantern guard. Follow her carefully to the big square; sneak behind her and grab the diary. Have you let Mercedes kill the zombies and firefight it out with others?..quite a show. Maybe this triggers something I should not let happen? She ended up, for me, fighting a blue thingy and the firethrower until all 3 got tired and just stood there. Meeting Mercedes and collecting my stash did not check off my list.
When I returned the 'item' that was missing to the drunk, he spoke slurringly, then passed out. Is he supposed to reward me? I stuck around, and then the invisible creep appeared. After reloading, I met the creep near the water and attacked him. He backed into the drink, still bellowing.
Would you please give me a hint to open gate at Vilhrath's Garden?
Did it on easy a few months back, but forgot how and have bipped all over the place looking for button, or key.
Still looking for the 3rd stone to finish amulet. Know it ebbs my health and there must be something to wrap it in?
Finished all other goals and now exploring. Think there is a place to go to that is not named on my map?
Now, better do my laundry....
