Hi, there. I added spoiler cover to your post above. It's really easy to use. When you go to type an answer, look above the space you type in and you'll see a row of rectangles. One of them says "Spoiler". Just click on it and a text box pops up in the upper left corner of the screen. Type the text you want hidden in there, click "OK" when you're done and Presto! It's hidden! :)
As for your questions: [SPOILER]Following Mercedes and watching the fight should not have stopped that objective from ticking off. Did the objective to drop off the Cylix tick off properly? That's the one that usually gives people problems and it's usually caused by playing this mission with an unpatched version of T2. Is your copy patched up to ver. 1.18? If you have a save before that point, you should go back and try it again. I have followed her, watched her fight, taken her purse and the objectives all tick off correctly.[/SPOILER]
As for the drunk, I think he's supposed to give you something small, holy water, or something. It didn't work properly for me, either. There was nothing there, that I could see.
To get into Vilrath's Garden [SPOILER]look through the gate at the back wall. You'll see a button. Hit it with a broadhead to open the gate. [/SPOILER]
Amulet: [SPOILER]There isn't really anything to wrap the stone in. Just deposit it someplace convenient to get to, like the Wizard's building, until you're ready to assemble the Amulet, then pick it up again and do the ritual. [/SPOILER]

Yup, ur right, Cylix wasn't checked off. Don't know how I missed that as I threw it and got a voice from you know where. No church bells either.
As to my former question re. the 3rd stone that drains..can't find it??
Now, about that spoiler icon; either I'm blind, or can't see. Clicked each one and nothing sez 'spoiler'.
Laundry? . .gotta. Hubby flies in Wed. from L.A. and I don't want him to know I 'played' the entire time. Does anyone else get that guilty feeling? LOL

Never mind my previous question..found the 3rd stone once I triggered something from the hint you gave me.
One other thing. When I run to my room before going to cathedral, there is no b.j. or nuthin'.

What difficulty level are you playing on? I checked and the BJ was there on the first two, but not on Expert. You don't really want to use it, anyway, because you want to have lots of AI around after the undead come out to play.
I'm in the Eastern time zone, but I'm around a lot at weird hours, too. Insomnia once in awhile and I don't work, so I can pop in often. :)
As for the spoiler box, honestly, it's just above the square where you type your posts. There's a box that says "Alter the FONT of your text", then above that a row of boxes like this:
"http:// " then "@", then IMG. Keep going to the right and the last box says "Spoiler". Just click on it.
LOL! My husband is leaving for meetings for a week on Friday and I'll be happy to do laundry and iron before he leaves, so I can play Thief until my hands go numb while he's gone! :)

Thanx for the info. I don't have any of those cute icons such as a clown, devil, etc. Are these from the internet, or do I have them and just don't know about it?
Yes, I am playing expert. I don't get the stash until I give the Cylix to the cardinal then, I get a b.j. and some things.
One other problem. All the objects are obtained for the amulet.
Three times I placed them and waited 5 min., reloaded, checked to make sure the items were in the right order...not gonna wait no mo! It worked for me on easy some months back.
My husband is on business too. However, he has had time to fly our two girls down to be with him and help celebrate his Mom's 94th b.d. She is always threatening to get a computer. Think it would keep her busy. I had commitments here and couldn't make it this time. 107 deg. there...no way!

The problem with assembling the Amulet is really weird! Are you playing with a patched version now or still with an unpatched one? That could possible cause it. It shouldn't take more than a minute or so, at most, from my experience, for things to start happening.
The smilies should all be in a box to the left of the square where you type your post. Just click on the one you want included in your post and it will show up. :)
