Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldnt find the
answer anywhere. When you begin the mission, is there
anyway you can get out of the booth before the time limit
objective begins? I found I could use a rope arrow to get
out and explore, but when I got back she just stood there
and I could'nt complete the level.

Don't do that! Yikes! :cheeky: There's a reason why Purah made it so hard to get out of there before she's done talking and that's because it usually breaks the mission and things don't work properly, so be a good boy and wait for the end. Also, it's a good idea to not save until you're out of the Inn, to make sure her sequence is done.

oops I was bad :sly:
I thought that was why it was so hard, just wanted
to double check though. I LOVE Murkbell, just hate
time limits. :D

Gehhh, this mission is scaring the shit out of me, excellently made though. Possible spoilers below, so if you haven't played yet, don't read it. ;)
Anyway, this is the first time I'm playing the mission, and being stupid, I tried "Garrett" difficulty. So now my final objective is to steal the Vampyre Blade. I can't get through that gate... and there doesn't seem to be an levers or anything to pull. I just want a hint or something, not a complete walkthrough.
I'm also suspecting it has something to do with the Necropotence Tome. So for the past couple hours I've been running around the city trying to find the eyes. I've found everything except for the last eye... I think. I have the Ghoul's Eye and the Eye of the Lich, and then the Ultraviolet Ruby Lensed Eye of True Seeing. Is this the third eye or do I need to keep searching?

Ahh CL.
Anyway. The problem with the blade.
can be solved in the same building so don't go running around town
This is the blantant spoiler
frob a torch on the upper floor...it's there, just very hard to see.
As for the tome and gems.
it's another thing...not really related to the blade except for the two are tied to the same building.
Uh-oh...
I think I've finished all the objectives. >.> But the "Deliver the Cylix" and the "Grab your stash" never checked off... Do I need to get somewhere now?
And just out of curiosity since I have nothing else to do. Do I need to keep searching for that last eye? Or is that ultraviolet thing it?
Nightwalker on 26/3/2003 at 13:20
If you delivered the Cylix to the Cardinal and went to the rented room, those objectives should be checked off. Usually the reason they don't work is because the person is playing with an unpatched version of Thief 2. You need to either have ver. 1.18 or patch your's up to that version for these objectives to work properly.
There's one more eye, by the way. The Ruby lensed Eye is not one of the one's you need for the Amulet. :)

Awww crap... I do have 1.18. I guess I'll search around for the last eye and perform the ritual before I restart the mission...
Umm, is there any way to just skip this mission and go on...? >.> I don't relish the thought of replaying 3 hours in a city overrun with undead. Or maybe subconciously I do...
Nightwalker on 27/3/2003 at 02:50
If you already have ver. 1.18, then the problem must be something else, because that's the version that's already patched. You can just finish everything you can, then use "Ctrl+Alt+Shift+End" to complete the mission and continue on to the next one.

Alrighty then... I guess that's what I'll do... Will I be missing anything if I do that? Like... there isn't any cutscene or something in between is there... [likes the story so far]
