AAAHHHHH!!! SOMEONE HELP ME!
I found the last eye and all (what a great place to put it... :p) but I can't seem to get the ritual to work... I put down all the items in the right order. Stand around for like 5 minutes waiting, and nothing happens. Please don't tell me this is part of that bug.
Can someone just tell me step by step what to do to fix that damn amulet?

Just exactly what it says in the spellbook. If you followed those instructions exactly and made sure everything was in the right place, it should work. Unfortunately, some people have had problems with this. It's not important to finish the mission, though, just a little side objective that nets you a useful weapon, but a limited one. You can only use it 3 times. It's too bad you seem to be running into all the bugs with this one, but the more complicated the mission, the more chance of stuff like this cropping up.

Deiyen,
Don't just stand in the centre of the pentagram while you wait. The mages patrolling can see you and won't settle down. There are shadows around the outside of the pillars that you can wait in. What you're waiting for is the mages to cycle back down to alert level zero. This can take some time.

Well, all the mages are knocked out, lol, I hope that's not what causes problems. I stand in the center 'cause if I go out of the "magic area" bounded by the red floor, the eye starts shooting stuff at me. Besides, the book told me to pick it up again when it glowed, so I have to hang around to see it glow.
Anyway, whatever. I'll just ctrl+alt+shift+end and continue on...

Ok, basically the problem is that I die when I try to throw the Cylix into the the smelter at Peabodys. I try running as soon as I throw it, including with the speed potion. its pissing me off! So close to the end of the mission...
What do I do? I thought maybe I could drop it in from above, on the roof or something, but nah. ??
Just one other query. Is there actually a time limit to giving the Cylix to the cardinal? I went there straight away, deciding to case the town afterwards, but then there was the flood of zoomies. Although its an awesome mission, with heaps of side areas, I don't go well with zombies on such a large scale.

If you stand back in the room a bit and throw the Cylix, you'll avoid taking damage.
There really IS a time limit to get the Cylix to the Cardinal, but the zombies don't appear until after you go to the rented room to meet Mercedes. There's nothing that says you have to do that within a set period of time. I prefer to explore the town thoroughly before I go there. :)

If this FM didn't have so many zombies and undead I would really have loved it a lot more, but for such mastery I will even let team Calendra slide and bear with it :D I still haven't finished it without cheating to give myself tons of fire arrows and all that, but hopefully I'll have the skills sometime in the future. Imagine, a taffer who's played since the first Thief demo came out who can't even navigate through a few zombies/vampires/haunted rocking chairs.. It's not even worth thinking about :joke:.
Just sit back and look at the architecture for a few minutes, you'll be rewarded with some of the best! *chest puffs out with pride* And I remember when Purah was just a little boy, just look how he's grown! .. Oh wait, I'm only 19, this can't be right..

In MIM I just
dropped the Cylix into the slot in the cardinal's room. He mentions the double cross and I get a new objective (getting my gear), but the objective of getting the Cylix to the cardinal does not get checked off.
I did a search for this on old posts, but didn't find anything that helped. I have a patched version of T2 and version 4.10 (I think...) of darkloader (these were the only suggestions I saw regarding this prob on earlier posts). I am also playing on "Garrett" difficulty. Does anyone know if this is common or will stop the mission from being completed? Any insights would be appreciated.
Thanks,
jay
PS
when the cardinal betrays you are you supposed to hear the alarm going off or is the text message it?
Just played this a few days ago & can't remember the cardinal mentioning the double cross since I"ve played several FMs since. However, I'm wondering if you were able to deliver it within the 10 minute deadline. Just made it within the nick of time myself and that was after working myself to a frenzy. Come to think of it, I would expect to see the skull & crossbones screen if I had failed the deadline instead of the objective not checking off. But then I didn't set up the mission parameters.

Apparently it is pretty common. It's happened to a few other people and it happened to me too. The T2 patch is supposed to fix it, but apparently sometimes it doesn't.
I just finished all the objectives normally and ctrl+alt+shift+end'ed to the next mission.
