You need the Spellbook, the 3 eye jewels, Jortul's mumified head, and... uh... I think thats it. Then go to the Falstaff wizards guild and put the jewels where the book tells you. Wait a little..., for some reason you might have to do it twice. When the book starts to spin and has a glow around it, pick it up. There should be some strange words in it now. (I mean stranger than when you first picked up the book :p) Now, exit the book and the amulet should be in the center.
Locations of items:
An Eye: Vilrath's Garden (Did I spell it right?): Its the area you can't get into unless you hit the button with an arrow, the eye is in one of the statue's hands.
An Eye: In the Watermill/Mill I dunno: There are some guards near it, its near the place you find the letter for Provost I think. Rope arrow up to the top inside and theres a diary/letter or something and a toolbox, in the box is the Eye.
An Eye: Gleaming Faucet (Jewelers): You can only get this Eye here before NoLD. You might have to do some searching around to find the Gleaming Faucet, the Eye is in the safe up the ladder (theres also a tidy sum of loot here).
The Spellbook: The Cathedral, in the Cardinal's bedroom: Its on the shelf, its a black book.
Jortul's Mummified Head: In the mueseum: Its on display, you can find provost's letter or go in during NoLD when the mummies come alive and kill them, and take the Head.

Also, the "ghoulish eye" is the one in the windmill, not the Lich eye.

Part 2 Just south of the Gallen Bridge, the dead are walking about and there is a light switch in a doorway which turns off a street lamp after I did this I can here a mumbling and growling noise following be around and it bumps into me and takes small number of health away, I ran away ended up in the museum Then I saw the door open on its own then I heard the noise again, am I imagining it or is there a ghost dog following me around, scares the s**t out of me.
Anyone have an idea

It's the ghost of the Calendra's Cistern monster and it doesn't like Garrett AT ALL! :eek:So be very careful! :cheeky:

How do you get rid off it I tried 8 flashbombs but then I ran out, does it just wander around aimlessly or does it have a patrol route?
I was going to explore the city further and try the amulet assembly thing before I did the museum to finish off, but I couldnt take it anymore and finished the mission in the museum.

This is one incredibly long and tough mission. In fact, it has been the most difficult out of all the FM missions I have played so far. I am playing on EASY level and I don't like not having my sword, but this mission is too good to bypass, so.....
I went back to my rented room in the second part to Calendra's Legacy and there was Mercedes. She was just as mute as can be. Not a single word from her and of course no keys. She just stands there and looks at me. There is a basement back in the Cathedral that obviously needs a key. Do I need to get through that basement door? If Mercedes just has the cemetary keys, then who has that basement key? Is it CTRL, ALT, SHIFT, END time?

Did she give you the cemetary keys? If she didn't then you don't have the latest version or you maybe need to reload from an earlier save (before you talked to her) remember, don't save or load or anything during her speech. After she gives you the keys, go to the cemetary! The basement key will spawn in one of the rooms of the cathedral during Night of the Living Dead
Edit: Btw, you didn't say what "part" you were on. Pre-Cathedral, Post Cathedral or Nold?

How long must you wait before the spellbook starts to spin and glow? I've put all the items in their correct places a dozen of times, and waited sometimes 5-10 minutes, but nothing happens. Is there some rule as to when you should do this (before or after NLD / before or after taking Kharras Drahg)? Do you have to read in the spellbook between each placement? Or if you drop one item outside its place, will you have to start all over, evt reload?
Once a zombie appeared and started whacking at me, so obviously i did something wrong. This is the order, right?
1. Jortul's mummified head on J
2. Ghoul's eye on 1
3. Vampire's eye on 3
4. Eye of the Lich on 5
5. Zjilich Amulet on 7
6. Spellbook on 9
Spellbook starts spinning and glowing...not here...
BTW has anyone found more than 5095 loot in this excellent mission?

Although I've never actually tested it, klatremus, I've always assumed what takes the time before the spellbook does it's thing is waiting for the Guild staff to settle back down to their zero alert level. Much like the one archer near the gate in the first mission in Calendra's Legacy before picking her pocket. And if these guys are all the way up to alert level two this may take some time. I've only ever had them at alert level one which is comment but no change in demeanor. If you've KO'd these guys then I guess I'm wrong and have no suggestions but if they're still awake wait them out. Level one alerts usually have both a beginning and ending comment. That's the "Did someone hear something?" followed at the end of the alert with "Musta been rats!"
