Thanks for the suggestion old man! I have knocked out both of these guys, but have savegames earlier where they are awake. I seem to recall I completed this spell first time through this misson (about a year ago), but cannot remember whether they were KOed or not back then... It could make a significant difference...hopefully. Even though this amulet-spell is not any necessary thing to do, it could come in handy against undeads. Making a loot-list along the way also, so it would be nice to find some more loot...

I've got a save game with 5,130 loot. But my loot list is missing 30 of this so I can't say where it is. Plus I have a vague memory that there's 100 loot embedded in a wall in the museum vault area that can't be gotten. That would be 5,230. Is that it?

well...if 100 is unobtainable i'm only missing 30 and you've got it all :thumb:
too bad you can't remember those 30...i'll do some searching around though...thanks again!
Nice walkthroughs btw, they helped me alot :cheeky:

Old Man:
I also have a saved game where I´ve found 5130 gold and my loot list differs from your walkthrough:
The lucky coins in the half-open window you get to by getting across the clothesline is listed in your walkthrough to be worth 40 gold, but they were only worth 20 for me. Then your lists ends with "30 loot not found in the narrative". Well, the explanation is that the bottle of Fine Wine (worth 50) in the window at the Meepwood Bridge Guard Station (which actually IS in the narrative) is not on the list.
That would explain it.

Thanks a bunch, jiansonz! Nice to finally put this puppy to bed. I've updated my writeup. Haven't time to verify right now, slogging through the Night Falcon: The Hammerite Monastery crypt trying to help The Fire Eater through.

hmmm .... quite odd. playing on a patched version of thief 2 1.18, downloaded dark loader and calendra's legacy last week from komag and cheap thief missions. completing the first 2 objectives of midnight in murkbell and they are not checked off. however, when i destroyed the cylix, that objective is checked off, but the game does not end, nor are there any more objectives. any help on this one?
thanks

A few people have run into the same problem as you, ryno and I don't know if the cause has ever really been determined. One possibility I've heard mentioned is that the patch didn't really work properly. You could try uninstalling T2, emptying the folder (make sure you've copied your Saves and Allsaves folders somewhere) then reinstalling and repatching to see if it fixes it. However, if that was the cause, I don't think your saves from before will work so you'd have to restart the mission. Other than that, just use Ctrl+Alt+Shift+End to complete the mission and move on to the next one.

as much as i have perused this thread, nightwalker, i probably missed the *alternate* way to end the mission. hmmm, will this still be a problem if played on harder skill levels? (really interested in getting the sword)
thanks

Yes, it will probably be the same on the other difficulty settings, I'm afraid. You'll still have problems with those objectives not ticking off unless you get it fixed somehow.

I have a few questions... Just a few, I promice!
Midnight in Murkbell (Didn't trigger NOLD)
Where can I find the book needed to complete the amulet spell.
Also, where is the vampiric dagger?
Oh, and I have all the three eyes. The vampiric eye is a very nice toy, as it summons Bob the ghoul, but should I drop the other two, untill I'm doing the amulet ritual?
