Swiss Mercenary,
IIRC, the instructions for resetting the Amulet are in a book in the Cardinal's room at the Cathedral. And you'll need to get to the Wizard's Guild to get the Vampyre Blade. I never kept the Eye's long enough to suffer any damage but sounds like they may hurt you if you hang onto them too long. Now that I think on it, you should have the book already or you wouldn't know about the Eyes' possible harmful effects. At least you've been in the Cardinal's room already to drop the Cylix. Anyhow, it may be better to leave them somewhere safe until you know what you're going to do with them. Actually someplace out in the open may be better. At least one place becomes unreachable after NotLD. Although, they may get transported then.

I already went to the wizard's guild, took a look at the pentagram, but I couldn't find the vampire blade. Is that because I'm on footpad? Oh, and I read something about the eyes in a previous playthrough - is the book in the "Basement" area of the chapel?
Swiss Mercenary,
Now I'm having doubts about the exact location of the information about the Eyes. It's either in the Cardinal's room or the small library or study across from the Cardinal's room but not the basement. And, yes, I've never played FootPad, but I have a vague recollection of having read here that the Vampyre Blade is not available on FootPad difficutly.
Swiss Mercenary, Old Man is correct. On Footpad, the blade is not available. Also, the book is where he said it was the first time.
It's on the shelves in the Cardinal's room, the same room where you drop the Cylix down the chute.
Hi,
I am on the second level and playing CL on easy mode. I could complete it by dropping the diary off at the Lt.'s office but wanted to explore more to get additional loot - have about 2400. After dropping off the item to the Cardinal and getting the alarm and the double cross message, there are numerous walking dead all over the city. I did not notice this in the walk-through but I guess that is because it is a different skill level or did I miss something? When I got to the museum, I could not find the guard with the lantern and the key to the vault on the top level which is mentioned in the walkthrough. At this point all guards that are exposed to walking dead have been killed by them anyway but still cannot find him dead or alive. My question is: how do I access the vault? I have the seeing eye to help me avoid the rays after entering the vault. What makes matters worse is that my cd/dvd drive just died so it will be a bit until I can go back and play this gem! Thanks in advance for your help.

@war1...The hoards of undead are normal for all difficulty levels. As for the key. Hummmm.....it's got to be somewhere! Maybe that guard got himself killed well away from the museum? If he's supposed to have a lantern (I've plyed CL many times but I don't remember this detail) he should be easy to spot. But sometimes when a lantern guard goes down the lamp light goes out...make sure you are checking everyguard and not just looking for a guard with a lamp.
Good luck

Sorry if my previous post should have been a spoiler.
then how did you get into the vault on the top floor of the museum? Did you pickpocket a key from a guard?
thanks

I am playing on Footpad, I have the Cylix and I could complete the mission anytime, but I thought I would like to have a little fun with those annoying undead -- at least until I use up all my weapons. However, there are a couple of, uh, special situations I am having trouble with:
(1) the ghost of the beast from Calendra's Cistern
(2) that woman dressed in white
(3) the floating mist
Any suggestions as to what works best in these instances?
1) The ghost I don't think can be killed. He's just there to bug you. I might be wrong though.
2) If you are referring to that greater vampire at the market (look for some loot on the ground beside her btw), she can be killed by one backstab with Kharras Drahg. After turning into mist use two holy water arrows to put her out for good. This can be tough to do and might require some practice, but once you find the spot to aim for it's rather straight forward.
3) Same as above.

Questions:
regarding Museum. I know this is not an objective for Footpad mode, but where is the
key for the vault on the 4th floor? I have read that it is on a guard but at this point the undead have sunk their teeth into anything living and there is no guard in or around the museum that has a lantern and key. If anyone has been to the museum after the undead start wreaking havoc... where is the guard with the key?
Does anyone have a juicy tip as to where the
hole is in the canal. I read somewhere that it is located between Bar and Cathedral?
All objectives are completed but with 2400 loot I must have missed something... will the vault offer much riches and/or should I be looking somewhere else? I did not explore much of the cemetery just enough to get downstairs... should I explore the outside area more while dodging the haunts?
Thanks!
