Thanks for your patience theBlackman but I need a tidgy bit more help so please be patient! I realised that I hadn't APPLIED the T2 patch so now I've done that but got a bit lost as when I went back to play Calendra the saved games looked as though they were there but when I try to load a game I'm back to the start of the mission. The saved games are still in the ALLSAVES folder in T2 and I've tried copying and pasting into the Calendra game folder (the zip one) but obviously I've not got the hang of something? (I'm too unsure of what to do to mess about anymore). Should I just restart the level even though I'm loathe to when I can see the saved games!

The ALLSAVES are filed and MADE BY DARK. Copy/paste ALL the zip saves that are in the copy of the ALLSAVES that you made as backup.
Don't just try to move the Calendra save zip. Copy/paste the entire contents of the ALLSAVE that you made into the ALLSAVES folder that is in TGOLD or T2.
As a desperate attempt. If after the above it does not work, then Open Dark. Make sure that you INSTALL ONLY, Thief. Close DARK.
Open Dark, PLAY CALENDRA from the start. MAKE A SAVE AT ANY POINT. Quit Calendra. In the Dark menu INSTALL ONLY Thief.
Now OPEN THE ALLSAVES FOLDER. The CALENDRA save ZIP will be the new one you made. So we try to fake DARK out. COPY PASTE THE CALENDRA ZIP from the old game into the folder OVER the CALENDRA zip.
When you make the Move. Copy the file from the BU you made. Click on the Open the ALLSAVES. Paste. It should say, "File XYZ of cc/cc/03 already exists.... Do you want to replace it..." Say yes.
Now try the game again. This might work.

I've tried the copy and paste you suggested but I've got a horrible feeling I've lost the saved games somewhere along the line as I still can't get them to load. I've just not got the confidence to try your second suggestion so I'm just going to hope that the patch has fixed my original problem of the objectives not ticking off and restart the level. Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it :thumb:

I was going to send you a PM or EMail note, but I see you are a recluse. :D
If you wish drop me a note at the Email address in my Profile. And I'll see if something can help.
Meanwhile, you have run the first part of the mission already. Here are some hints that might ease the pain:
When you start your run to the cathedral, you can cut some time off by going through the guesthouse at the museum. This will let you, rob the jewelry store, and pick up the Allseeing Eye, from the storage shed near the museum on the way by.
There is also a moss arrow in the shed by the Black Die front door, and another in the little shed by the passage near the museum.
To use the short cut, run to the side of the museum nearest the canal. Put a rope arrow into the SIGNBOARD, and climb into the window. Get the loot and tools that are there, then go out the window on the canal side, drop to the wall, drop into the cathedral grounds and climb to the balcony.
This saves you a lot of time, yet gives you time to get the loot from the jewelry shop, and you won't need to repeat the trip to get the Vampyre jewel you need from the shop.
The patch worked so I got back on track pretty quickly as I'd already figured out a quick route to the cathedral but thanks for your advice. As for being a recluse , with 3 kids (all girls, two of whom are teenagers!) fat chance - that'll have to be in my next life, this is my only escape at the moment!:cheeky:

Good! Glad you are back on track. You will have LOTS of fun in the next part of the mission. LOL
Sneaky, and the ability to RUN LIKE THE DEVIL IS ON YOUR TAIL, is highly recommended. :D

I am playing CL for the second time and so far have been ghosting it with no problems and all has been going well. I am now trying to assemble the amulet before I go and trigger the unwanted undead...
I have the amulet and 2 of the eyes, but when picking up the third (the Lich) I get damaged by it within 40-45 seconds. I was under the impression that it could be carried around for a while before it did any harm? As it is, I cant get anywhere near the Falstaff boys to try and do the spell thing without getting injured. I have been searching the forums and it seems like it is just me with this problem
Is this definitely the eye (Lich) that causes damage and how long is it supposed to take before any harm is done? Surely it isn't supposed to be so quick?!
I have loaded the patch long ago and my pc is facing towards Mecca, just in case. Any ideas would be welcome, otherwise the amulet can go straight back to
the bottom of the canal!!
TIA

For me, the eye was always harmful...
But you don't have to carry it to get it anywhere.
I picked it up and threw it in the right direction, some times.
Thus, you should only take minimal damage, if any.

I never experience that from when I have played Calendra's Legacy, and I am on my 4th time playing, I have always picked up that eye first, carried around with me all the time until I was suppose to re-assemble it to make the amulet charge..
But for some odd reason, I never took a bit of damage when I carried this eye around me, even after setting off The Zombie Carnarge, all 4 times it never dealt a bit of damage to me at all.
Only 1 serious setback I had, was when I tried to grab the key off the dead guard in the museum making my computer freeze and somehow deleting all my saves up unto that point, I had to reinstalled Thief 2 and Darkloader all over again to get it working again.
I evern assembled the pieces to make the amulet charge under that ever so watchful eye. For some reason it never saw me, only because I did it basically under the eye, so when I went to place the items down, it never took a shot at me, and only when I competed the charge, did the other two mages show up and try to get me.

I got through it last night on the millionth experimental attempt! Kept picking it up, running/swimming, drop it and wait for a while and repeat. Eventually got it into the chamber where it damaged me, but reloaded, moss'd the ground and placed it on the run with no damage! At long last!! Now have released the monsties and am ghosting them as well. I do intend to give the cardinal all 3 shots when I catch up with him :ebil:
