It's really difficult because she's on first level alert from talking to you. The only way I could get it was
to get behind her and stay out of her sight, then follow her through the streets until she went off alert. I followed her almost to the spot where she disappears before I got it.
Gemstones? What gemstones?
ShadowWolf421 on 24/7/2004 at 23:59

Dambn it. When I trigger Mercedes i fail the no kill objective. i got my bj from the room very quietly and went to go bj the archer by the vault on the fourth floor of the museum. I also bjed the dude in front of peabodys, three cops in the station (excluding the one guarding the front doors) and the guard on the walkway going to Dr. P. I got my zombie pal to clean out the wizards guild. I don't want to start over again, so could I edit the Trigger Mecedes script to not kill a few select guards (or better yet, none)? Help much appreciated!~

A few people have found this bug the same way you have. There are some AI that MUST be around when you trigger the NOLD. As far as I know, the only way around it is to restart and don't use that BJ, at least not very liberally. If you search, you may find a post that lists the Ai that you can't KO. I seem to recall seeing one in the past.
ShadowWolf, I've only managed to get that key by
hiding back behind the stairs on the lowest level and mossing the area between the bottom of the stairs and the display room. The guard comes downstairs once in awhile and as long as you stay far enough back that he's not aware of you, he won't go to first-level alert and you can pick the key.
I'm sure other people have gotten it differently.

Now I can figure out how to get to the grave yard
I'm at where the map says there should be a bridge. On the map it says Towne Hall Clock. There is a metal bridge like section that looks like maybe it could be exteneded if I hit a lever or something.
Thanks,
Eric :D

Ok, I threw the fancy evil gem into forge and objective complete. Now what?
It seems the other objectives did not regester, delieverying the cylindrex, picking up equipment, that's all done, but no check mark on objective list. Is it just a glitch that I got this far without the other objectives regestering? :weird: Or is there something more I need to do?
Thanks
Eric :D

My gut reaction is you might not have a patched copy of the game. If your version of Thief 2 is 1.07, then you need to get the patch. But, if you've completed all the objectives, then you might as well skip ahead to the next mission. :)
