I sort of answered this a few posts (and years) back: (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?p=575286#post575286)
Basically, open your saved game in the editor using
edit_load_game saves/quick.sav, use find_obj to find that DestroyTrap, and then delete all the ControlDevice links from it to AIs. I can't remember offhand if there are any CD links to anything other than AIs - if there are, make sure not to delete those.

That doesn't sound easy, Nameless_Voice, but I'll give it a shot.
First... I wonder if my DromEd even works? I recall it having problems the last time I tried to open it -- something like six or eight months ago!
But I'll close my eyes and give it a try....
Thanks,
Dafydd

All right, I finally got DromEd set up -- but I think I screwed up by actually copying the zip of Calendra's Legacy into my DromEdding directory and unzipping it (I was in a hurry, and I couldn't figure out how to set up DarkLoader to load into a different directory). In any event, I'm able to load the save just before Mercedes comes out of the closet... uh, you know what I mean.
So now -- Nameless_Voice, could you explain your explanation? I can load the savegame, but I have no idea what you mean by "use find_obj to find that DestroyTrap, and then delete all the ControlDevice links from it to AIs."
Can somebody walk me through doing that? Any DromEder out there, or N_V him/her/itself?
Thanks!
Dafydd
P.S. How do I unscrew myself, having actually unzipped the CL zip into my DromEd directory? If I set DarkLoader to load into that directory instead of my regular Thief2 directory and then install the original FM using DarkLoader, will that fix the problem? Or do I have to go through the whole installation process all over again? (Please, not that; it's long, involved, and horrible.)

Ok, I don't wanna painstakingly search through pages and pages of questions hoping one of them will be the same as mine, so I'll ask it here: I've gotten to the cathedral and I'm supposed to give the cylix to the cardinal, but how do I get in? I found a balcony with a door, but it's locked and I can't pick it open. What do I do??
grrr. . I'm seriously starting to hate this FM. .

BLASPHEMY !!! :cheeky:
Just go at the end of the courtyard, at the right of the balcony, and look up : there is a windowframe in which you can use your rope arrows ;)

Um. . .where? :nono:

Wait. . nevermind, I finally found it. . .however, I have to restart the mission because I have no regular arrows with which to break the glass with!! I can't believe I wasn't provided with some in the briefing!! See?? This is yet another reason why I hate this FM.

Rargh. Ok, I'm stuck in the museum. I've gone over this thread and don't see anyone else that has gotten stuck here, so I'm gonna ask. I finally got back to this FM (after getting distracted and realizing belatedly I hadn't finished. lol) and have done it twice. The first time I got my equipment to early and - well you know what happened. So I figured I needed to redo and save that to the last.
So I have no blackjack, no sword (not that that matters, I can't kill anyone anyway), no gas arrows/mines.
I am trying to get into the museum vault on the top floor. I have the key, and can open the vault, but then the archer-guard standing there freaks out no me and starts shooting even if I'm not next to the door. I can't figure out how to disable her, and I can't rush into the vault itself or I'll get fried.
Any suggestions?
