Any suggestions?
She usually does not see or hear me at all if I crouch-creep the long path around the center of the room. If you have trouble getting past the doorway unseen, a moss arrow and a
little rush (not too far, that´ll be painful! Just so you get out of view.) into the corridor will work. Remember to stay quiet the whole time you pilfer the vault.
You can also wait until later a later stage of the level (you know when), and BJ her.

I was too scared to wait. lol Creeping around with those undead was nerve-racking. And at the point I did bolt into the museum afterwards. . .I had something freaky chasing me. o.O
But, anyway, back to the issue. I tried creeping, I tried most arrows, and each time, as soon as I unlocked that gate and got it rattling back, she alerted. I could not seem to avoid it.
I did, finally manage a semblance of stealth after an hour of trying various things.
I stood right in front of the gate, downed the invis potion, unlocked it and slid in as soon as it let me. I got under the first beam just as the potion wore off, and hid in the shadows until she settled down again. Then jumping over the second beam she got riled up again and I sped through the rest of the means, and lured her through. She got killed and I was able to get out with out too much of an issue. :P Not the greatest way of doing it, but at least it worked.
So she alerted to the unlocking of the gate? That hasn´t happened to me (other than maybe the first level alert where she decides it was nothing, after all). She must´ve had too much coffee the day your version of Garrett arrived...

Just discovered this FM. Sorry to be late to the party. Absolutely excellent job . . . however I have a problem: I can go all the way through mission 2 and complete the last objective, but the mission does not end. I have noticed that when I complete the first objective it does not get ticked off, despite completing it in time. In addition, I cannot get the amulate repaired. I follow all the instructions to the letter, but after waiting over 3 hours, the magic never happens. Since the amulate is not necessary to complete the mission, no biggy, but anoying all the same. Could this be related to no having the 1st objective credited? Also . . . I pick up my equipment just fine, but that objective never gets credited. Suggestions?

i believe that you encountered the well known calendra's legacy bug, its happened to many people from time to time, if that first goals doesn't check off then something goes buggy and the mission says you aren't done. ctrl+alt+shift+end and you can force it to end the mission, or replay it and try something out, for example, you can break into the museum three different ways two before, one after the big event i think. see what happens if you return the cat to the man who lost it. try a mad dash to your stash of gear before the mad dash to the cathedral to arm yourself.

I think I have tried all that, except the run to retrieve stash before going to the Cathedral. That would definately make the mission harder!! Definately too hard for me to ghost. Thanks anyhow. Bit disappointing.

if you haven't seen it there is a 100 things to do in calendra's legacy list that is pretty neat, some things to try out if you do rerun that mission, enjoy mission three, its not my favorite, feels disconnected from the story and tacked on to me, but its stunningly cool on its own.

Im gonna pull an Alcander myself and revive this thread for a seemingly insignificant question!
The vampire eye allows me to summon a single zombie, who guards me and is my pet. We go everywhere together, smelling the roses, (he has some difficulty with this, I admit.) and him killing the guards as he can't be killed by them. Unfortunately, as soon as he IS killed by some manner, I cannot re-summon him, all I get is the shin and foot of a skeleton. Very odd.
The Ghoul gem does not seem to do anything by itself, I was wondering if the gems are supposed to have any kind of powers before being made into the amulet at all, and if so, what they are?

Update: I just finished the Zjilich amulet, thanks in great part to this thread. Thank you guys, you rock.
Now, I have an odd bug that you may know how to fix. I finished the amulet BEFORE NotLD. I retrieved my blackjack without triggering Mercedes. However, now that's the only thing to do. When I enter my room, the objectives check off and new ones add just fine, but the "don't kill anyone" objective says that I failed it.
It decided this point to tell me that somewhere along the line, I killed someone. Now I state to you very thoroughly: I did not kill anyone. I lured them to my pet zombie, yes, but I myself killed noone. Didn't even dump an unconscious body into the water.
Technically, I've already beaten the level since I looted the cylix by taking the hidden passage under the cathedral, so I could just melt it and skip the level since that's all thats left to do. But I really wanna make the zombies go boom! Is there a way to fix this without having to start all over again?
(PS. Has anyone else taken their pet zombie on a rampage through the city? After I got done there were only 2 or 3 guards that I had missed, or in the police station which you can't get into unless you meet Mercedes).

Have you blackjacked anyone? Is so, that is likely the problem. When the NoLD event is triggered, the game "kills" off several guards. If you have knocked out any of those, it counts as if you killed it.
