Then it means this problem has to do soemthing with something technical, and that means that this computer noob can't help you. :(

There is a bug that's associated with the objectives not checking off properly. Actually, not always a bug but sometimes a case of playing with an unpatched version of T2. There were instances when people HAD patched their game but for some reason, it hadn't really worked properly.
Check out the
(http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48202) FAQ at the top of the forum and read the section titled "How do I get the game ready to play FMs". There's details there on how to address the patch problem. If either of these apply though, you'll have to restart the mission from the beginning.

Many thanks i've just completed it on Garrett difficulty and some of the objectives never checked off so i can't go to the next level, so i'll have to do it all again anyway:nono:
The game is patched upto 1.18 so i will read the post you talked about thanks again.
I'm running windows vista and it doesn't look great anyway, graphics wise, It's something to do with the modern graphics cards no longer supporting dithering?
To actually play theif 1&2 on vista with a dual or quad core processor or a processor with hyper threading enabled you have to set the affinity for your processor as thief was never designed to run with multicore processors, so if you don't the game will crash.
So, what i think i will do, is reinstate an old pc i have, back into use just to play these wonderful games, I just decided last week to give my thief games a run out as i havn't played them in years and low and behold i'm as hooked as ever again, there's not many games you can say that about!
I just got word there, that there's a new thief on the cards for next year called THI4F :thumb: i really can't wait but i do hope some of the original designers are working on it as the ambience, storylines and everything else in the the originals was awsome and we wouldn't want "SOME ROOKIE" spoiling that would we? lol:laff:

Thanks Nightwalker just to let you know that i went to the FAQs as you suggested and i downloaded the gen.osm and convict.osm and pasted them into my thief 2 folder just overwriting the originals in the folder and voila the spell book started to spin:thumb: the only thing is i will still have to re start the level as the objectives obviously didn't tick off.
So many thanks again for your help and knowledge!!

This mission is a bit outdated, answering wise, like "what PC to use", so I ask my question right now:
I'm at the second part, in the museum, at the vault level, fourth floor.
I thought I pushed the security key off when I opened the vault, but :nono: That didn't work.
So now I'm just hopping onto the dark tiles and all is well untill I get to half the hallway!???
Help please?

If I read you correctly you need to find
"the eye of some kind of seeing." That's not it's real name but it's something close. I remember it being in some kind of small storage shed. Go out the front door of the museum and turn right. Go around the side of the museum and on the left you'll come across a door. Pick it open and you'll find a chest inside with the eye. Have it selected in your inventory when you go back to the vault and you'll see what to do.
What that button did
was to remove the alarm on the diamond on the third floor.

Thanks Taffers.
I'm still missing a key for the bridge to the cemetary area and I don't know where to get the
Cylix back from. Is it in the cardinals place? I can't find it :eww:
I'm walking in circles here, plus all of these haunts ....

Isn't that key
on the windowsill right by the bridge guard with the lantern? Been a while since I played it, although it is the most beautiful and magnificent mission pack made for Thief in the history of the universe and all time forever until the end of time and eternity. ... Anyways I think that's where it is.
Have you triggered the
Living Dead event yet? If so, you should have the cemetery keys already. An alternate route is
back through St. Trinett's.Edit: Nope sorry, it was only the apple on the windowsill. The key is
on the guard's belt. Check out my loot/equipment list (
