You installed Tfix on T2? You mean T2fix?
Edit cam.cfg like this to enable sound
sfx_channels 12
sfx_vol_music -474
This is the usual default setting. The current setting is sfx_vol_music 0 which means turned off, I assume.
neux on 19/7/2019 at 13:51
I've installed T2Fix, yes.
cam.cfg already had default values

When I enter game I can hear music but there are no sounds, not from player nor for example Basso talking.

In thief2.log it's
sfx_channels 16
sfx_vol_music 0
This has to be the same as in cam.cfg. Strange.
In cam.cfg,
ambient_volume 0
set this
ambient_volume -1600
and see what happens-

Didn't fix it.

Thief2.log is changing every day.
Let's play something. Whatever you want, not Thief. Got sound?
That install path, is it a network drive?
Try to copy Thief2 to another folder
C:\Thief2
sounds good.
This is win 8?

When I enter game I can hear music but there are no sounds, not from player nor for example Basso talking.
If some sounds but not others are playing, I would think this is not a configuration issue but perhaps a corrupted snd.crf file. What is the size of that file in your Thief 2 RES folder?

Sorry. First log was my FM Thief installation, second was Steam theif log. Now its Steam thief log changed during this session.
I play SC2 regularly and all works fine. I tried HalfLife 2. Quake Live and Quake Champions. All working ok.
I can play any sound file, all web aplications work ok.
It's not a network drive. I have 2 thief installation paths none of the in Program files:
C:\Nex\Thief\Thief 2 - FM (for example)
This is win 10.
voodoo47 on 19/7/2019 at 16:46
my first question would be - do you still have the issue if you use a fresh, T2Fix patched install of T2, with the fan mission fully extracted in its own folder inside the FMs folder (so no zip), and loading it via FMsel?

This is win 10.
In Thief2.log, it's noted as win 8, so here's the culprit.
Is this an upgrade to win 10 or a fresh installation?
Try to run thief2.exe in compatibility mode for win 8.
