Since I don't know what you've done/tried already... Here are a few quick hints:
* The carvings on the console probably explain the mechanism, too bad you don't speak Dogon.
* Does the shape on the wall look familiar?
* Just because something is "offered", doesn't mean you should take it.
* Little red lights.
Hope that helps :cheeky:

Thanks, I'll give it another try.
I did notice the little red gem in the front of the cave. I also deciphered the symbols with my trusty old book of Dagon. I tried like ten times trying to pry out the gem in the floor during the timed sequence but no luck
. I'll see if there is another way. :p
You don't want to take anything from that room, you want to leave something somewhere else. The little red light has friends, find out where they are, and where they go.
:)

Headfirst went under so Destiny's End isn't ever going to be finished. The PC version of DCotE was actually finished by one guy who didn't get paid to do it, from what I remember. So it's lucky the PC version was released at all.

One thing about this game it that involves a lot of trial and error during some missions. I am in the Air Tunnels now and I am now realizing that you really have to keep on eye out for every single guard walking about. If you make a wrong turn or if you forget to take into account a certain guard, then it's pretty much instant death. Then it's back to the last saved point. :(
Oh well, at least now I am confident on how to proceed to the plant room now.
I've been trying to get there after dying like five times already because the guard up top keeps spotting me. When I would get spotted, I would run towards the plant room but ended up being cornered. I didn't realize the room has a hidden tunnel according to some tips I read.
Anyone heard anything about what's happening with this one: (
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/callofcthulhudestinysend/index.html) Call of Cthulhu: Destiny's End?
It's too bad that game never got finished. It looks like it's a modern day Cthulhu game that was looking pretty good. Oh well, hopefully someone picks it up. Maybe Irrational.

One of the reasons I haven't picked this one up yet is I heard the save system is horrible (ala Far Cry only worse).
Is there any chance of a patch or mod being released that implements quicksaves anywhere? That would really improve my chances of playing it.
[Edit] Really Renegen - and I suppose Canada is just a paradise where no one ever takes advantage of anyone else? I guess you guys must boycott Nike or something.
Renegen on 7/6/2006 at 14:31
You can't have a quicksave, that would take away from the suspense.
I have to say that in Canada, we do boycott Nike everytime there's a camera around. People don't get paid here either, but it only applies to students.
