It starts out as an Adventure-cum- Survival Horror Runaway-Argh sort of Clocktower-esque thing and then later on it effectively does become an fps. It's not an easy mix but I don't know what else you could call it. By the time the feds show up that's pretty much what you've got. Then later you're cruising around with a damn Yithian gun (seriously don't read that if you haven't finished it)
