Well, today was the day! I bought my copy, brought it home...
And it wouldn't work... double clicked the setup.exe file, and NOTHING. NADA. No intro screen, no setup menu options, NOTHING. The pointer turned into an hourglass a few times, and the hard drive light went on seven or eight times... I did a ctrl-alt-delete and watched as no less than TWELVE instances of the setup.exe file lodged themselves into memory. But did nothing.
To make matters worse, I called EB Games not 10 minutes after I got home and they promptly told me they wouldn't refund my money. Said it was an open item, so I'm screwed, out 30 bucks... :< What a rip...
I guess it's too new but I'm wondering if anyone else had this problem.

Regarding the same spoiler everyone else has been posting:[SPOILER]You need to jump into the truck from the loading platform behind it to avoid taking damage (not sure it's even possible to get in from street level, I know I couldn't). Anyway, after moving the block from the wheel, jump the crates and up onto the platform to leap easily into the truck. If you get back towards the front, and stay low, you'll take no damage... even through the crash.[/SPOILER]FYI - If anybody else encounters the game breaking bug with the disappearing, uhm,

Wasn't you too hasty? IIRC, I waited like a half of minute until I saw install window, or maybe it was another game.. Try also to shut down other applications, including anti-virus software.

I'm up to Jailbreak now. Played quite a while in it yesterday but as I unfortunately did not find any savepoint I lost all of the progress I had, after all the hard work I had put down :(
Where can I find a save point round the policehouse?
[SPOILER]I had lured the policemen out, whacked them with the crowbar. Searched the policehouse, found the guns and the keys. Tried to release Burnham who wouldn't come with me becuse he did not trust me. I thougt that showing him the postcard would work but alas... Killed some goons outside with the guns and was going around trying to find a savepoint when I was overrun by some goons and shot dead :( [/SPOILER]
I would have wanted a save somewhere around there....

There is a save point at the end of an alley, across from the police station. If you are coming out of the back of the station (where the cell windows are), cross the street and veer left. This is also a good place to lure enemies, because the "infected" will shield their eyes from the savepoint/glyph on the wall and you can whack 'em. :D
For Burnham: Show him the picture that Ruth gave you. You have to be in just the right spot to do this (the game is pissy that way)
Oh, and make sure to grab the shotgun & pistol from the police station, you'll need them.

I grabbed the things from the policestation and they were really nice to have:cool:
I tried the Burnham thing but I guess I was in the wrong spot. Even tried several times:tsktsk:

Okay, I just started this game. I am at the point where I just entered the sewers in Attack of the Fishmen. So far, I haven't been able to find any kind of weapon, although I do have all sorts of ammo in my inventory. Was I supposed to have found any weapons yet? :confused:

No, not yet. You will get them later on. First thing you will find is a crowbar and jack will point it out to you.
