Btw dema, when you were in Geneva, did you happen to work at the LHC? If you don't mind my asking, I'd be interested in hearing more.
Haha, I work in a very different field. I started studying QM this last year because it was such a different thing than I normally do, also because you can get an actual answer. I like math, but I like when it's telling you something, not just pure math.
I'm a researcher in international law & human rights, and at that time I was an assistant to one of the commissioners, the Finnish one Martti Koskenniemi, at the International Law Commission at the UN.

Last Friday I took off for the first time with my own paramotor. Many weeks of ground handling practise, especially reverse launch, and finally I was ready to actually take off. The weather was perfect, with a gentle wind. I pulled up the wing and once I got it to remain over my head, I faced forward, started running and squeezed on the gas trigger. I felt the motor pushing me forward, and the wing began to take the weight of the engine off my shoulders. Before I knew it my feet couldn't reach the ground anymore and I was up in the air! It was magnificent! I gave the engine more gas and gained more altitude. The runway was far below me, and there was a breathtaking sunset on the horizon. A distant lake glittered in the distance. There was fog on wheat fields. I touched the side of a cloud and decided to head back down - it was getting cold! :D
The landing was much lighter and smoother than I had anticipated. I pulled the breaks smoothly just before hitting the ground, and I barely even noticed the weight of the engine coming back to my shoulders. I did three flights on Friday. This week, if the weather is suitable for flight, I'll fly some more.

Sounds like a lot of fun. Can you really go somewhere by wing to camp though? Around here there are only certain places where you can fly ultralights.
