I have several installs of Dromed and a couple of them have an annoying problem. Whenever I go into the game via the editor, I can barely move. It's like my feet are stuck. Only by coaxing the key commands to move will it finally "un-glue" me. Even then, it's really slow going.
Any ideas what might be causing this?
I know someone's going to suggest I copy XYZ over to the infected folders, but I'd still like to know the cause.

Are you sure that you are starting in air? I bet that you are starting with Garrett's feet in solid. Make sure that none of you is in solid before entering game mode.

Also, is there there anything in the world that is in slow motion? Such as slow torch sfx, bitmap/particle stream, AI?

Nope to both of you. Doesn't matter what FM I investigate via Dromed (I'm writing walkthroughs); they all react the same. Now in the game, they behave normally.

Try
editor_disable_gdi
and
edit_screen_depth 32
in dromed.cfg

@fibanocci: While I was scrolling through that config file, I found that both edit_screen_depth 16 and edit_screen_depth 32 were active. Bonehead problem solved.
