More interesting is how you even thought about GUILD, and entering. Unless you had your handy walkthrough. But even with that, you would never run into GUILD unless you did have GOLD.
So the question still remains, if you actually played TDP, you would never even know that GUILD existed without a hint sheet or a walkthrough.

Maybe he played the
Thief Gold Demo, or maybe he played the conversion of the Thieves Guild mission for T2. And then he mixed up things.
