It's funny... I can appreciate lovely 3D textures and animation in the latest big studio production as much as the next person, but something like
this is guaranteed to make me sit up and take notice in a way that those other games never do.
Now... here's hoping that the gameplay itself is at least decent! :)

The gameplay is pretty decent, although it is slightly and unusually violent for a puzzle adventure game (which isn't to say that it is particularly violent), but apart from that it's pretty much a classic adventure with puzzles, some a little frustrating and some kind of obvious, but always rewarding, because of how nicely done all the surroundings are -- as well as the NPCs. All in all a charming game in a cute and quirky way. I'm enjoying it for the most part.
Edit:
There doesn't seem to be any mouse support(?), though, which is weird. I think it would have been better for some of the puzzles (as well as the menus).

With it being a 2D game, I was rather startled when I saw the system requirements. It turns out that it's made with Unity, so I think there are significant overheads there. After having trouble with Dex (which is also 2D and using Unity) I decided to hold off on purchasing this until I get around to putting a new video card in my PC, as my current (oldish) one is somewhere in the bare minimum range, if not slightly below.
Your description sounds good to me, though, so I'll continue to look forward to playing it at some point...

...is the publisher. The game is by Teku Studios. If that makes a difference for you.
