Okay I kept thinking about it and what it means, and why you told me that. So I was able to realize what it was doing.
I settled on:
Code:
NVPhantomTrapOn="BeginScript"; NVPhantomFadeOn="3000"; NVRelayTrapOn="null"; NVRelayTrapOff="BeginScript"; NVRelayTrapDelay=7000; NVRelayTrapTDest="[me]"
and it seems to be working. Also I didn't get that I had to start my object on 0.00 alpha to make the transition make sense. Now I just have to play with time to make it look right. I also notice the fade out is smoooth and the fad in is hitchy. Like in almost strobing.

Me too can't get NVPhantomTrap to work properly. I appreciate the work of the script authors but the documentation sometimes is not comprehensible, at least for me. Some examples could be helpful.
I want an object to fade out after being frobbed. Well, so far it fades out but it doesn't wait until it has been frobbed ... how can I trigger this?
I defined the following parameters in the editor notes:
NVPhantomFadeOff="4096"; NVPhantomRenderInvisible=0; NVPhantomTrapCount=1

Something else, like a button or some other trigger, must be sending a TurnOn message to this object.
For the script to wait for frobbing, an additional parameter will be needed: NVPhantomTrapOn="FrobWorldEnd".

Sorry I tested it with a simple button but that didn't work. And that's exactly what I ment, there are some details which are undocumented. :(
If the object configuration should work I could use a RelayTrap and CD the object to it and vice versa without the button trigger.

You need to turn the NVPhantomTrap off to make it fade out, so you need NVPhantomTrapOff="FrobWorldEnd"; NVPhantomTrapOn=null
Also, make sure you set an initial Renderer->Transparency (Alpha) value of 1.0.
