Hello,
I didn't play TG for a while and my install had become corrupted for some reason. After reinstall I tried to reinstall the "thief hi rez" thing because it is great, but nothing changes in the game after I follow the instructions (both for quick and manual install). I've been stuck on this for a while.
I think had already been made "fm ready" with dark loader, though maybe I should reinstall to make sure of that.
Maybe it's because of some registry entries ? which ones could it be?
Right now my install.cfg looks like this

Changing my install.cfg like you said did not work but your patcher is working just great, no zombies or pentagrams so far.
I tried the thief EP on a new install on another PC without success so I wonder what I missed, probably some update/script or other I forgot to reaply.
