Revae had been working on this, but I haven't heard from him for a while.
Closest I have for my pack is a still fairly blurry repaint made to look like goldleaf'd wood (black and white here, wood bits come later).
Inline Image:
http://i.imgur.com/UgybbSD.pngIt's not finished but it's been taking too long for just one texture, so I had to move on to others for a bit to keep sane. It's also probably not well suited to this pack, but when I'm done I can post it in case someone wants to spruce it up. Pretty far from finished right now though really...
On a side note, I rather hate the original painting (and by extension mine). It's just... Busy. Makes it hard to find the will to work on it.

If you made that from scratch, that's pretty amazing. That's certainly beyond the call of duty there. Though even if you didn't make it from scratch it's still equally incredible.

Bump.
The painting depicts the Battle of The Milvian Bridge, Flemish School 17th Century.
The original wood/bronze/brass texture is a copy of this.
Edit: Revae had been working on this, but I haven't heard from him for a while.
I think that we can say that is an flemish-school reinterpretation or "remasterization" of the Battle of the Pontus Milvius (
Battle between Constantin and Maxence)by Raphael and his student Giulio Romano (ca. 1520) from the Constantine's Chamber of the palace of the Vatican: the more recent painting was clearly inspired by the first painting. So it's not a real original Flemish School, and not an emblematic painting of this school, and others documents could be better more schematic painting of the Flemish School. So this expression is not totaly true.

Yes, it is. The painting, whether or not it draws influence from other pieces, is still executed in The Flemish School (realism, bright colours, attention to detail...busy).
Great work Gecko, Revae!

Thanks. Some of it is from scratch (from before I had Purgators find) and some is a paintover of that painting... hopefully when I'm done very little will remain of the painting, and it'll probably end up looking less convoluted (It'd be hard to carve something like that, and I'm not too eager to try to paint something to look carved and that detailed at the same time). The border is just an image from the googles and edited.
But I digress.
