And were you going to tone down the orange on that orange stack to make it more red?
Yes?

Well I meant the former, but the obvious problem part is just too depressing for me. I want to keep the anachronism of such a thing (stickers) in the world of Thief -- if merely for a laugh. But, yeah, you are right. :p
They way I see it, they put wax on the things to keep them stuck on. It...it fits, people. It's in theme. Comeon. They had wax in those days, and they needed to stick things on other things just like every society throughout history. It works. Don't make me clone brush them all out.

Also, I feel like it's only been a couple hours and we already have another page on this thread? Whelp, that's what happens when you are dealing with textures. :cheeky:
Yeah, specially when we're being so minutely anal retentive about them. We've already filled up two pages debating the color of 15 pixels here. :P

Yes?
In that one shot, they're roughly as red as the thicker labeled books, now. Any more red and they stand out too much.

Please get rid of the stickers.
Please make the orange books red like the original. The orange sticks out like a sore thumb.
Renzatic on 23/10/2012 at 00:27
That's a nice maroon. Not nearly as orange as it used to be. Those books will stick out in general since they don't have the same variance as the others on the shelves.
As for the stickers, have patience. I'm getting to it.

Thank you.

alright. Part 2. Almost done. I curved a few of the threads (though I have missed a few), and tried to give it a more dusty appearance

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/3018396/bookcase_spiderweb_2.jpgKinda weird having clean boards and dusty shelves. Might have to grunge up the wood a little more to match.

Be guided by the original texture ...

Hell, yeah. I think you're the first TTLGer who comes from my neck of the woods. If you're about 5 hours up from me, that puts you around middle Kentucky, right?
Yep, near Lexington. There are a few other folks from the area, WhiteFantom is from TN and YCatX and William the Taffer are up here in KY.

@Yandros: Why did I think you lived in the Upper Midwest? Wisconsin? Michigan? Or have you moved?

The cobwebbing seems a bit extreme compared to the rather subtle effect on the original.
