Nameless Voice, good work.
BTW, do you (or anybody) collects all new textures (made by different people) in one place?
I am trying to rework some textures of objects but so far have not achieve desired results. :erg:

I collect the textures which come to my attention.
They are all on (
http://nameless.zanity.net/epterrain/) the EP Terrain progress page.
That's only terrain textures, though. In theory I'd also collect quality object reworks / textures, but I very rarely get any of those, so I don't have them well-organised.

It looks a bit too... sharp. A lot of bright pixels, but overall they don't quite look like stone.

You're right, it's too sharp. I'll make another version today using smoother stones.
Sometimes it's hard to say if LGS ment their textures to be photorealistic or artistic. Judging by Thief concept art they wanted to create something akin to Dishonored but more balanced towards realism (i.e. no caricature characters).

Start with realism, then tweak it, with separating the textures from each other in mind, too, but just enough to create distinction without pushing too hard, except where a dramatic effect is desired.

When I compare them side by side, I'd say it looks a little too soft. Otherwise, it's a fairly decent approximation.
To fix it, I'd raise the levels on the bricks a bit to make them more contrasty, darken the spaces in between, and maybe select a few and knock them off kilter, since the original doesn't look quite so even.
