Your call. Better than all that patching I would think though. At the worst, couldn't it be used to even up the sharper image's piecemeal transitions? And when you shrink the texture down to a usable 256x512, does the extra sharpness matter that much? IDK. But since I found it, I thought I would share, as it could be useful.
