Re. Core_2/Parkay64.
Do we know where that is used? My expectation is that a parquet floor is a highly polished wood flooring used only in the best of homes. In game, the 64x64 scale of the texture tends to blur, making it look more polished. This looks very rough, poorly installed, and not maintained. Is that appropriate to usage?
If I remember correctly, in TG it's used on TABLES for the most part...
Oh, and I think I've forgot to share this: (

In T2 it's used in Garrett's apartment (miss5 & miss8) and another apartment by the cemetery in Trace the Courier (miss8). It's also a ceiling texture for the two towers in Eavesdropping (miss6), though it's not a good choice. I think that use should be disregarded.
So it's not used by the very rich, just like in real life.

can't wait to see Civicb2 and Civicbui families in high res

OK then. But should it have such gaps between boards and appear quite as rough? It looks like it would give you splinters through your boots. Even if no longer polished, I would expect it to be worn smooth with use. No?

Funny how differently people fill in details in low res material. I've never interpreted that one as anything other than scuffed all to hell, especially considering the very specific contexts I've seen it appear in, such as Garrett's rat hole of an apartment. It could be a bit shinier though, looking at the original again. Might tweak it if I find the time.
@NV Some notes about the latest EP:
*NewDark prioritizes .dds over .png, so make sure that you remove any old dds-textures from the archive whenever they're replaced by new shiny png versions. SEVERAL cases where my old crappy Quasi-Canon textures are still used even though newer improvements are in the pack.
*R Soul's core_1 gstone textures are missing, as is MaxEd's core_2 wdpanel.
*The blue cathedral door is 1024x1024, even though I'm pretty sure it's the newer 2048 version I made, by the look of things. I'm guessing the detail just wasn't enough to warrant the higher resolution after all?
Finally, tile factor plain doesn't work on my end. Anyone know what the hell is up with that?

I thought I'd fixed all those. Do you have a list of which ones I missed? I don't see anything obvious, apart from core_1/sandy.
I very nearly threw out all the DDSfiles and just went with pure PNG format, until I realised that the PNGs had a much larger filesize and it made no sense to waste space when the original files from you were in DDS format to begin with.

Ah, wdpanel is missing because of a mistake when I was trying to sort out the .dds / .png issue - I accidentally deleted his rather than your old one. I'll throw the gstones in as well.

I pulled that from (

You need a more recent version of NewDark. It wasn't supported in the first release.

Excellent! I spent some time trying to find some of those rugs (and also some of the Victorian wallpapers), but I didn't have much luck finding perfect matches.
The closest I found was this, but it's just a tiny bit too different for my tastes:
(
https://nameless.zanity.net/epterrain/compareImage.php?family=vrescor1&texture=rug12&url=http%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fn5YmRLD.jpg) rug12 (Horizontal scrollbar warning, 2048x1024 image.)
A tip if you're trying to search for more, Rug17 is a "Tekke" rug.
I didn't find a particularly close match, however.
