For some strange reason, I can no longer draw/create any brushes in the editor. It's putting something in there, because I see "New brush created" at the bottom, and, if I save, re-opening the level shows it needs portalizing. There are no area brushes in the mission.

This is in the mission you are currently working on? Is it the same in a brand new mission? Didn't you just have another problem which resolved as a data corruption issue on your drive? When was the last time you checked your drive?

I don't see hide brush as an option but it may still be possible somehow. Other than that, what brush does it say you create? It should say in front of "brush created" so "______ brush created"

Filters or area brushes activated?
Ricebug on 4/5/2015 at 15:26
It only happens in the current mission. Works OK on a new mission.
No filters on.
Yeah, the message on the bottom tool bar is "cube brush created." Nothing is created, however.
It acts like if you're trying to place a brush or object outside of an area brush. But I have no area brushes, unless I accidentally hid them.
I was trying to figure out a keystroke command yesterday, and I was doing random CTRL-n combos. Maybe I activated something?

Found the problem. I had the grid set to 19, so when I tried to drag out a brush, it would just snap to zero, since it was much smaller than the grid size.

19? I assume that was unintentional?

I like my walls FAT!
Actually, I was using the large grid to measure some distances, center lights on some stuff, etc.
