The first thing was the name on the flower card, but also some signs. I've read the Broken Triad thread and see that others have had this problem. I'm running windows 7. I've tried all the things, that others have said fixes the problem, but i still have it. Can anyone help me with this?

Yes, tried fix 1, still had the same problem. Chk'd out fix 2, but microsoft website said the toolkit was for XP, not windows 7. I deleted the FM and all saves and redownloaded, still had the same problem. First thing that wouldn't work was, I couldn't read the flower card with the name on it, then when i get the the museum, can't frob most of the signs, somethings would still frob, but others wouldn't.

So it's possible that NVScript isn't your problem. Have you tried Haplo's Among Two Storms to check this? It would help to know for sure that it isn't the problem so we can look elsewhere.

I'll try that now, downloading. Started mission, read note, says the script is not working properly. Not sure what to do now. I did go back and removed the space, on the Thief2.exe. I had changed it to Thief 2.exe, but this didn't change anything. Still couldn't read the flower card. This is what i should have done, right? I just started playing thief on this computor, used TafferPatcher_TMA_212_beta.exe to install, haven't had any problems till this one. Running windows 7 Ultimate

Then NVScript not loading is in fact your problem. Try downloading this, which is the latest version: (
http://www.wearytaffer.com/storage/missions/NVScript.osm)
Then, with the mission uninstalled, drag that file onto the Broken Triad ZIP and overwrite the one in there, then install it and I'll bet your problems are gone.

Ok, I opened the Zip file with Bitzipper, did not unzip, clicked edit and added the new script.osm. I did uninstall the mission first. I went and changed Thief2.exe to Thief 2.exe. Started mission and went straight to and picked up the flower card and couldn't read card. Went back and opened Zip file and double check and it says the NVScript is from 2014 now, so it is correct. Still doesn't work! I'm baffled! Went back and changed the Thief 2.exe, back to Thief2.exe and there is no change. I'm double baffled!

I realize you are probably getting frustrated by now but bear with us a bit more. What mission loader are you using to play FMs? And what did you do to "uninstall" the mission?

I'm using what ever was installed when i used the TafferPatcher_TMA_212_beta.exe. At the top it says (FMsel 1.0.0). I right clicked on the mission in the list and clicked on uninstall and the little window open and the little bar went across and it said uninstalling. I even tried installing another mission, and then tried installing the script.osm. Still nothing! I'm cool, would love to get to finish misson. I will keep checking to see, if u have anymore ideas. Just went and rechecked. when i right clicked on mission and selected uninstall, it asked if i wanted to backup saved games and screen shots, i said no. New window said (all files in the install dir will be deleted and several other things will be lost. proceed with uninstall. I clicked OK. If u think it will do any good. I will completely delete the FM and redownload it and try the fix again. I do believe i did it right the first time though.

OK. So try this. Install the mission again using FMSel. Then look in your Thief2 folder for a sub-folder called "FMs" In that sub-folder, there should now be another sub-folder for Broken Triad (I'm not sure what that sub-folder's name will be exactly, but it should be clear it is for Broken Triad). Put a copy of the new NVScrip that Yandros gave you the link for into that Broken Triad sub-folder, overwriting any copy that may already be in it.. Then start the mission and see if you still have the same issues.
