I have a 3DFX Voodoo 3:2000 and when I toggle full screen mode, nothing happens. It always plays in a window. Any ideas? I did a search thru the forum but couldn't find anything on this problem.
I'm using Windows 2000.

Can't help ya, but I'm pretty sure the Windows 2000 is your problem. Deus Ex was not ment to run on this system (it doesn't say it can on the side of the box). Some people have gotten it to work though.
Ask this question at the [ir;=http://www.ionstorm.com/ubb/cgi-bin/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum=Deus+Ex+&number=8&DaysPrune=365&LastLogin=]Ion Storm Forum.
They may be able to help you better there.

I had a similar problem with Unreal - simmer down, i bought it off amazon.com for $10.
The problem was that the color depth wasnt high enough. I had it set on 16-bit color normally and when i played it the game played in a window - 800x600 (im normally at 1024x768). To just toy around, i turned it down to 8-bit color and the game played in 640x480. I then raised it to 24-bit color and the window was large enough that it took up the whole screen.

Make sure you have the latest Voodoo3 drivers. There's a seperate set of them for win2k.

That last tip did it. Why was I too stupid to think of that myself? Wait, don't answer that.
Thanks, Agent.......
