I reinstalled Thief Dark Project this afternoon. I try to set affinity when I am at the start screen, the one that you choose which save or training to play. I right click on the Thief.exe32 and I get a message box that says access is denied. How do I set the affinity in Win 7 x64?

I downloaded DDfix and the thief exe file. Then I DL the widescreen file. Now all I get is a small window. When I run the batch file this is what it says.

What did I do to mess this up? If I tried to input 1920x1200( my screen rez) it errored the same way.
*just tried to edit the cam cfg file and I was once again denied.

Sounds like you need one of the patched executables:

I had to use the Nvidia 5x.xx patch for Thief Gold which ironically seems
to have fixed an ATI driver specific issue I was having.

Also, "User Account Control" (UAC) may be preventing you from accessing processes in your Taskmanager so I would turn that off...

I recently had to get TDP up and running on Windows 7 64 bit and summarised what I did (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139186) in this thread. You need the Tafferpatcher for TG linked in nickie's post which despite the name appears to work fine for TDP.

Is the Tafferpatcher only for Thief 2? I unabled UAC this morning and I was able to set the cpu to cpu 0. My version of the game is 1.33 as it is the Eidos Platinum collection. So should I still DL the tafferpatcher?
BTW Thank you all for the help. Slowly I am getting to a running version.
