Heylo. I was just playing Thief 2 for old time's sakes. A lot has changed since the last time I played it, including me getting a MacBook. I installed BootCamp and XP to play all my PC games. Well anyway, I want to skip a level (Shipping & Receiving) and I know the code is Ctrl+Alt+Shift+End. Now the mac keyboard does have an End button (in place of the right arrow) but nothing happens. I'm surprised because every other mac key on the keyboard has been substituted for PC functions when in XP. Is there any way around this? Please help!

In USER.CFG add the string:
starting_mission 3
Then start new game. The game will start from mission#3.
some taffing with MISSFLAG.STR file can help too. A string like this:
miss_2: "skip"
Then you'll start the game as always, but jump from miss1 to miss3.
Haven't tested this myself, so if someone else could post step-by-step instruction (is it possible to make new INTRFACE folder or better edit the file inside INTRFACE.CRF etc.)?

Quicker method:
Bring up the console ( shift ; ) and type win_mission

Thief has a console? Holy crap! Or is that just is Mac?

Nope, it works on Windows too. Relatively few of the console commands work in Thief, though - they're mostly for use in Dromed (or only work in Dromed).

I didn't know Thief had a console either. Does it come up during gameplay or when I;m at the menu? I tried those buttons and nothing's happening:(

It should work in game. If not, then it may be that it doesn't work under Boot Camp. In that case, DJ's suggestions should work.

I'm pretty sure the console only works in Dromed.

No, it also works in Thief, in most circumstances.
