Cape with cowl... where to... buy? - by Night_Raven

I get claustrophobic just seeing a guy with a hooded sweatshirt, hood over his head, sunglasses, and listening to really loud music. I gotta be aware of my surroundings! :D

...one of the reasons why I would never walk around with an mp3 player and those in-ear things.
Few years ago I made myself a "Gugel" (no, not Google, a hood with a liripipe) of dark grey loden (because it makes the rain roll off) and it's quite useful, but as mentioned before you cannot see properly without pulling it back too much.

Jelling dragon are bloody expensive for any reenactment clothing and not 100% authentic. I know, I'm an historical seamstress with 15 years experience from the vikings/saxons to the 18th century. I make all costumes by hand (not Mechanist Machine) and I even have side projects like this......

Painted plate armour or just plastic? I always interpreted the white parts of Hammerite uniform as polished steel, so they looked somehow close to these 14/15th (?) century English hourglass plate armours (see the early concept artworks). Anyway, looks definitely great!

I don't use plastic. It's plate armour and even in the 14th to 18th century it was not unheard of painting armour. I tried just the hammer painted on the steel but it looked drab.

Sadly, no. I'm in the U.K. Several miles from a place called Blackbrook (I love saying that) :thumb:
