I agree with nicked; Johnny Depp is far too pretty to play Garrett! Though J.D. has an amazing range when it comes to portraying various characters, he doesn't (IMHO) look rugged enough.

My favourite for playing Garrett: Luigi Lo Cascio, I've seen him in I Cento Passi (Onehundred Steps? sorry I don't know the english title) and was quite impressed. And since this film project isn't likely to happen, it doesn't matter, that he seems only to act in italian films, ok? For a picture look at: (

I'm all for having Alan Rickman and Tim Curry in it, they're good. I would like to see Jim Carrey as Karras, that would be funny.
