I am new to this game for the second time... played it a while ago, got FLTII, and forgot about it. Now I play DX, such a great game, but in Fallout I liked making characters that were smart+Stealthy, killing people silently, etc. In DX I tried to make a char like that, got the Pistols skill up to Master, computers up to Advanced, Electronics up to trained, whatever, but now I feel the game is going very slowly (even though there is no greater satisfaction than shooting a MJ12 guard in the face with a tranq dart from a scoped xbow!). But in short, my character gets his ass kicked on a regular basis. Later in the game it seems stealth is less useful that power, especially when fighting mechs. Is there any hints yall can give me for dealing with the enemies in the late game without dying. Preferably a non lethal takedown- but any tips will do. Thanks in advance- Dave

First, the crossbow and its darts will become quite powerful if you continue to develop those skills. Second, the combination of the cattle prod and baton can take down enemies non-lethally in a rather satisfying way. Third, the stealth pistol (useful because it doesn't set off gunfire-detecting alarms) and the sniper rifle are suitable for stealthy operations in which a bit more force is required. Fourth, understand the game's stealth model: NPCs have 180-degree peripheral vision. Stay in the semicircle behind an unalerted character, and he won't see you. Stay behind an obstacle that hides you entirely, and not only will an unalerted NPC not see you but an alerted one will soon forget about you. Shadows don't matter in this game.
Yes, stealth takes more time. Yes, violence will sometimes be necessary. But an enjoyable mix of the two is available with patience, practice, and the right skills.

I was the slethy if you get in my way I'll kill you all J.C. I walked around with a silenced Sniper rifle. Kill em from a distance and if you get attack starfe side to side and shoot em once or twice with the rifle! :) (I also had a assault rifle and my silenced pistol, pistol, crossbow for gettin them in the head with a dart) (not a tranq) have fun though
