Did someone else notice some strangeness in the mission stats?
When I saw mine it listed 7 (backstab) and further down, under "Others killed" 1.
That would mean 8 dead people.
The funny part is I only killed 2! I killed the blackclad theif first since I thought that was the one I was after. And when that proved to be wrong I finally found the right guy and offed him.
So where are the other 6 dead people?

Have you killed any animals? Those also count as kills normally.

In the building with the loud-tile-hallway and three rooms, check the first or the second room (don't know exactly) for a secret switch.

There's no secret switch, at least on Expert. The Spice bag is hidden behind a wall tapestry that you can sword away.
