Hi. I'm trying to enable the cheat codes, but I can't even get the typing console to appear. I've edited the user.ini, bound T=talk, tilde=type, and neither work. I'm starting with the -hax0r flag enabled. Basically, nothing happens when I press T or ~. I can't even TRY to see if the cheats work. I'm pretty sure I have the Canadian version of the game (I traded for it with someone from Canada), if that makes a difference. Also, the user.ini looks like the key bindings are the default ones, not the ones I'm using...so where the hell is the INI file that contains my bindings? I looked at all of them in the system folder and couldn't find it! Maybe I need to edit that, but I can't! Help.

I don't get it- did you edit the user.ini in the Deus Ex system folder, or did you edit something else? All you need to do is bind any unbound key (all instances in the file) to talk (I used "="), then press the key, and enter "set DeusEx.JCDentonMale bCheatsEnabled true." If you changed anything else, maybe you should go in and undo it.

Found the problem...I'd only bound it to the first reference of T=. When I did a find, the T= I made case sensitive (because there's a lot of words that end in 't' followed by an equals in that file), and the second T in the file is lower case. Changed that, and I was all set.
Thanks.
