The Thief 1 and 2 file basically fill in the functions that the in game menu doesn't allow you to map, such as the two analog triggers on the 360 pad that the game doesn't recognize, escape key on the start button, and the right analog stick for aiming.
For Thief Deadly Shadows, since the game crashes if you try to map anything, i've mapped everything apart from the left analog which is enabled by default.
Just leave all the controls default, my Xpadder file should match up perfectly. Here's the controls...
Right Analog Stick - Aim and navigate menus (sensitivity is 50 for X axis, 40 for Y axis)
A - Interact (Mouse 2)
B - Wall Lean (R)
X - Crouch (X)
Y - Jump (Space)
LT - Use Item (I)
RT - Attack/Select Menu Option (Mouse 1)
LB - Next Item ( ] )
RB - Tap for Next Weapon, Hold for Previous (Mouse Wheel Up and Down)
L3 - 3rd Person View (V)
R3 - Zoom Bow (Z)
Dpad Up - Zoom In Eye (Up Arrow)
Dpad Down - Zoom Out Eye (Down Arrow) Zoom out fully or walk to put away.
Dpad Left - Lean Left (Q)
Dpad Right - Lean Right (E)
Start - Pause (Escape)
Back - Objectives Screen (O) Use the right stick to navigate to map screen.

Why don't you use the native analog support both Thief 1 and 2 have available? I remember doing this about four-five years back when I was transitioning between builds and only had a laptop with a touch pad to play old games on.
I may be mistaken but the steps would be...
Run Thief, go in the options, enable joystick, exit Thief. Go into your main Thief directory, open the user BND file, scroll all the way down and make sure it reads "joystick_enable 1". If you look a couple of lines down you can configure your sensitivity and dead zone as well. This would work far more effectively than the incremental system you got there and wouldn't affect your key binds (well, buttons, since it is a controller). Now Garrett's movement speed will respond to how much pressure one applies to the analog stick, which I honestly think people who are going to go ahead and use a controller, will be much better off with. Should be the exact same method for Thief 2.
I think there is a similar method of native analog support for Deadly Shadows either via menu or configuration edits, it's a different engine (UE2) but it was developed with the Xbox in mind so it should be very possible.

Hmmm, that is true. To be honest I never tried it cause most games i've tried enabling joystick on didn't work right at all with the 360 pad, but i just tried it and it worked fine. Although it seems you still have to fill in the right analog stick for movement and the start button for escape. So i guess i could just alter the xpadder file to just fill in those missing functions, thanks!
I guess you can do the same with Thief DS as well. But the game locks up everytime you try to change your bindings. Luckily the game auto maps the left analog stick properly when you first start it. So i guess i'll take the xpadder config and keep the other mappings besides the left analog stick.
EDIT: Changed the OP with the new Xpadder configs to reflect this :)

I'm currently fixing this in the Sneaky Upgrade. When you say "locks up" do you mean that it'll crash, or does it hang somehow?

Ummm the game crashes to the desktop and says Thief stopped responding. When i tried to enter a new binding.
Also, do you know if that glitch where you jump and start floating/gliding around is a glitch with the original game or something to do with sneaky? I haven't played the Xbox version in awhile but i don't remember that glitch.

OK, that's fixed now.

It's an original glitch. In many cases you can get out of it by drawing your bow, then hit escape.
