moral outrage overload. I thought I'm the guy being accused of that. I buy the games but play the pirate version. so now go find an insult, quick.

So you like redundantly wasting several Gigabytes of bandwidth, good for you.
How I installed Dead Space = 1) Ran the setup off of the DVD. 2) Use a generated product key. 3) Installed the game and used a cracked EXE.
Bearing in mind that Dead Space likely will never be patched and that there's no MP component whatsoever.

what's there to waste, it's flatrate here, sorry you have to pay per package. if they got the cracked exe only, I dl this but most of the time I play the pirate version weeks before the legal copy even reaches the european market (if it does at all)

I just know someone's going to nuke me if I say anything about playing pirate versions and not buying the games because I think they're not worth it...
...o-oh... incoming!!!
mothra on 21/4/2009 at 11:10
THAT is a waste of time. playing something you know that's not worth a few bucks.

If you're talking about using pirated versions as demos, then I'm okay with this. If you're playing the full game but don't consider it worth the money? Don't play the game if it's that bad. If you play all of it (so it's obviously worth your time) without paying for it, you're a bloody hypocrite.

Two years ago I didn't, but now I do.

That's pretty black and white of you.

Perhaps, but I'm comfortable with this. If anyone gets enough fun out of a game to play it for a considerable time, then I simply don't buy the "It's not worth it" argument. If that's how they want to do it, fine, but if they say in public that's what they're doing, I'll happily call them hypocrites.

With a particulary buggy and careless release I am fine with people stealing it, just not something I would do myself, wouldn't know how if I wanted to in the first place.
