OK crazies lets have a Christmas thread.
What is your favourite Christmas tipple? Iin this household it is Black Seal rum with a splash of ginger beer known as a Dark and Stormy. I must admit though, I have it as a chaser to a Guinness.
A P.S. to Piglick
Just a quick reminder for the recipe for rum butter ;)
Equal amounts of butter and soft dark brown sugar creamed together with a generous amount of ground nutmeg. Then slowly add rum to taste, usually as much as you can get in before it separates.
Use to slather over Christmas Pud or ice cream.
Merry Christmas to all

I've never liked alcohol so it'll be Schloer for me!

I guess I'm one of the semi-rare Eggnog junkies, given how divisive that drink is around the office.
(Adoration vs Abomination...)
I have to admit I even like the Soy-nog because you can heat it, though Chai Latte is probably
a better candidate for that.
If I have to nominate a holiday drink without alcohol (or one you could add alcohol to), I would say
Trader Joe's "Pear Cinnamon Cider" is better than any wassail I've ever tasted.

I don't really change for Xmas so I'll likely have a wheatbeer or two. I've all but stopped drinking in the last year.
However, I do have some homemade cider that needs testing on the crew and I know I'm unlucky enough to lose at least one of the yearly holiday challenges and have to back-to-back a few shots of Romanian palinka.

I really like Mulled Wine. Unfortunately, I drank way too much of it last night. Bleurgh.

I'll drink anything not nailed shut, past it's use by date or poisonous.
But more specifically, I've got a fridge full of ginger and orange Rekorderlig (my new favourite tipple), bottles of French champagne and several excellent bottles of Australian Shiraz and Chardonnay, as well as a fully stocked spirits cupboard with decent rum, tequila, single malt, vodka.
I'll find something. ;)
But for now I'll have my cup of tea and try to properly wake up since the kids kicked off at 5am this morning... Merry Christmas everyone!

I've just conveniently finished drinking everything in time to unwrap something nice to drink tomorrow :)
Hopefully some more Green Island rum :)
Merry Christmas to all those who care about such things and happy drinking a lot and eating too much day to everyone else.
