Half-Life 3 is supposed to be longer than 2 and it's episodes combined. Sounds epic.
Wait, what? Didn't valve pretty much admit that there will be no HL3 since all the episodes are effectively HL3, and the 3rd episode will conclude the series (from Gordon's viewpoint at least)

I imagine he means episode 3. AFAIK Half-Life 3 has not been announced in any way.

So if I'm reading this correctly, Ep. 3 is going to be larger than HL2 and Ep. 1 and 2 combined? Hell, even if's half that size, it's no wonder we've yet to see any screenshots or trailers. Considering how long Valve takes with everything and all.

Mafia 2
Amnesia: The Dark Descent (the new horror action adventure from Penumbra's creators)
Assassin's Creed 2
Deus Ex 3 (?)
Alan Wake (if it comes on PC)
Heavy Rain (PS3)
God of War 3 (PS3)
Last Guardian (PS3)
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (PS2)
English translation of Fatal Frame 4 (which I hope will work on Dolphin)

Yes I mean Ep. 3, but considering it's length I doubt they'd call it an episode.
Doug Lombardi: “The next time you play as Gordon will be longer than the distance between HL2 to Ep1, and Ep1 to Ep2.”

Oh, come now. Honestly, is that even a possibility as far as you are concerned? I'll give you that it could be longer than Ep.1 and 2 combined, but all 3 together? No way. And, yeah, there has to be an Ep. 3 before there is an Half-Life 3 proper.
Besides, do we really want Half-Life 3 to be Source bound? I don't. I want Ep.3 to be, but for Half-Life 3 (if it will even ever be produced) I expect vALVE to up the engine ante, so to speak. Source will be dated as Hell by then, I am honestly surprised they have stretched it out this long.
Oh, and in regards to True Crime: Hong Kong; I am kinda glad to see the I.P. rise from the festering depths of game series stagnation. I enjoyed the 1st game enough to fully finish it (the last Boss was a BITCH. Hard as Hell hand-to-hand fight) and it was nice filler between GTA:Vice City and San Andreas. Probably one of the better GTA knock-offs. I own both it, and TC: New York.
New York is interesting, and has ridiculously nice visuals for last gen. But, it ended up being a bit more bland than the 1st game. I think it tried to emulate the style of San Andreas so much that actually hurt the game. It would have done better doing its own thing like Streets of LA. I mean, the whole black protagonist with the hip-hop hardass setting and the parent being killed and driving him towards a quest for glory thing was just dumb. That and they felt the need to make the map HUGE to a fault. It was sparse (not a whole heck of lot compelling you to explore) and shit was just too far apart. Glitchy as all get out, too. I mean big time.
That said, I think they should have refined the Streets of LA formula/setting and had a really tight, solid experience as opposed to just kicking another clone out of the door. It truly bruised the reputation of the franchise. Look at the sales of the games. I believe the 1st game sold a million copies. Regardless, the sequel sold like 10% of the 1st game's take.:o

I guess I'm excited about Bioshock 2, and now that I have a playstation I'd better get on board the Heavy Rain Train, but otherwise... oh, well I'm kinda looking forward to seeing if God of War 3 turns out to be as gruesome as that last trailer made it look.

Buy the bloody game, don't pirate. Good thing that the translation patch is engineered in such a way that you require a legal copy.
