I'm looking forward to that Noir thing for PS3, Red Dead Redemption, the new AvP, Portal 2 and yeah HL2 Ep3. Not much else tbh. I've already got a big back catalog of stuff to get through and I'll be playing some old classics up to the originals (just got Metal Gear Solid for PS1/3 last month).
Source is a bit old now but I'm sure HL3 will be on the new engine, whatever it is. Tbh once Ep3 is done I can't see how anything else won't be old. We need something really fresh and this will either have to be with some really innovative gameplay designs or a new interface.
One thing I'm really looking forward to is the PS3 motion controller and the 3D games that are on the way. I need to be... transported.

Buy the bloody game, don't pirate. Good thing that the translation patch is engineered in such a way that you require a legal copy.
It's torrented, I don't have a Wii and will import FF4 for the collection only if the patch along with the game itself run playable on my PC. Plus, if there won't be much problems with control. The intro chapter I tried was more or less playable.

Besides, do we really want Half-Life 3 to be Source bound? I don't. I want Ep.3 to be, but for Half-Life 3 (if it will even ever be produced) I expect vALVE to up the engine ante, so to speak. Source will be dated as Hell by then
Well it's not like they haven't been updating it. Episode 3 looks
much nicer than HL2, after all.
Unless you want to see some really fundamental differences in what the game can do (like streaming everything to eliminate loading screens), I'm not sure there's any particular need to do the big expensive time-consuming re-write. I'm sure they'll continue to improve individual components as required.
But hey... if they can do it to good effect, and in a vaguely reasonable time-frame, then I'm certainly not going to complain about it :)

I'm surprised that they haven't kicked Ep. 3 development into high gear and/or made an announcement and/or had a media blow out at least. After all L4D2 development was running on (Activision/EA Sports-esque) Greed Time, rather than the traditional Valve Time.

Nothing.
