You are completely silent to the AI when crouched in Half-Life. You can do quite a bit of sneaking if you stay low.

But not invisible.
Anyway, here's something I found in a recent (

Proper guns are glimpsed in the game's brief dreamy prologue, and heavily hinted at for much of what follows, and, in a design u-turn from Butcher Bay,
they're no longer DNA coded to their original owners, a mechanic which called for an irritating unlock ritual.

You know what else was irritating?
Guards.

They took the DNA encoding off? That was so original, and considering the security a prison planet needs, practical to the in-game world.

hey, afaik you can't "take" away the gun from the corpse, you have to use the corpse's hand to shoot with it, making you a slow and easy target. I no interview/preview I read was specifically confirmed that you are carrying around a few weapons without any restrictions like it was in BB.
and yeah, I don't get that stupid reporter. irritating design ? guns coded to your DNA ... in the future ????? Who would have thought ? blasphemy. we need more games like UT and GOW.

So original in-fact that Metal Gear Solid 2 did it two years earlier.

Well, it was original for a FPS. Also, weapons in SoL didn't have electric defense mechanism (or whatever it is called).

No, but they all had handprint recognition, which prevented Snake or Raiden from picking up some dead fucko's gun- they'd have to find one by itself, unused.
