Jesus, dethtoll...I found a copy of Butcher Bay at Big Lots for $4. I don't know your financial situation, but the PC game can be had for CHEAP. It is a must-play for TTLG'ers, and especially you.

That's not what I asked. Anyone who's been following the thread knows that EFBB is being updated. I was just wondering if it was worth just waiting for the updated version.
I'll try to find a copy of the original though if it's that cheap.

Yes. Get it now (if possible). It is at LEAST worth it for the comparisons (to the remake) alone.

My point was, (possibly misinterpreted) that it is SO cheap..Yes. Get it now (if possible). It is at LEAST worth it for the comparisons (to the remake) alone.

Must play != must buy.

Publisher-released screenshots are often "touched up", likely taken on a development PC. They likely won't look as good whilst running on the actual console hardware in your lounge.
For one very recent beta I've participated in, the devs admitted to using special settings, that made the game run far worse than under anything available in the normal settings menu while looking great, when taking publicity screenshots. So the game was capable of looking like the screenshots, but performance suffered heavily on
any PC available, to the point of being unplayable with everything at max settings.

It is must-play in the sense that, this being TTLG, everyone is expected to be Thief fans, and this leads to being stealth game fans, and this leads to Riddick having stealth elements - as poor as they might be. But to outright buy it on the premise of stealth gameplay? No way.
