Glad to be of service, though you might want to skip all the sidesteps and look for a SNES right away. And PSX. And PS2. And PS3.

Don't forget that said kids have a bike race against a choppered up robot amidst the post-apocalyptic ruins of future earth. Afterwords, they help starving people in an abandoned factory grow some food.
Hell, straight port of a game I played a decade ago or not, I'm getting this.

Its worth getting just for the soundtrack alone. Best Jap Rpg ever in my opinion, definetly getting the DS version when it comes out here.

I played through it last weekend, this isn't just a straight port. Along with a bunch of added content they also re-translated the whole game and tweaked some of the graphics, it's much better than the SNES version. I think this is definitely worth getting.
And if you don't want to buy a DS just to play this one game, I don't think there would be anything wrong with buying the DS version in a store, downloading the rom and a DS emulator, then playing through it on your PC. :sly:

Or you could just buy a DS. DS emulators have a long way to go before they're even close to being viable.

Looks like a straight port, plus some anime cutscenes (oh, joy) and one new ending, to link it to Chrono Cross. A game which I try very hard to forget ever existed.
Just get a SNES emulator. As the fallouts of their era, one thing is definitely true - a speedup key is necessity.

I haven't looked into what's available, but the concept of a DS emulator sounds like it would be an interesting challenge. For one a mouse-driven interface would be essential for any touch controls.

That was actually hinting at how I played it. :-) The NO$GBA v2.6a emulator plays through CT DS flawlessly, the mouse is used for the touch screen. I'll borrow a real DS and play it on that sometime in the future.

That looks horrible. Get the SNES version.

I've played through the SNES version, dozens of times. The DS version is the superior game.
