I thought I had to get up into the Edgar's church somewhere other than the front door, but there's a large shining keeper glyph on the front and everything says just go to the glyph and it'll activate to get into the church... what am I doing wrong? I've spent the entire morning trying to figure this out :(
Apparently I missed where to get the climbing gloves too... where was this again?

If you are supposed to go into the church, then HIGHLIGHT the GLYPH and USE it, just like you were picking up an object. If it has a high glow, then a click should open it and let you in.
The gloves are obtained in the dockarea weapons dealer.
They do you no good for getting into Edgar's.

That's the trouble, I walk right up to the glyph and do a left mouse click (which is same as Attack) and nothing happens. I'm really getting worried I missed something in the last mission that's screwed things up now.

You need to use the right button, and not the left one to use the glyph. The climbing gloves will only be available after you complete both the church and the pagan sanctuary missions.

Make sure you hit your use button on the glyph, not the fire button. Its the same button you use to pick things up. Do not use the attack button.
The gloves are in the dock area and will not be available until after you do the church mission, pagan mission, and return to terces courtyard and go through the keeper bit. What happens in the keeper area unlocks the docks.

Thank you both you guys very much, whew, I was getting very worried about having to restart the whole thing but apparently was just being a goof and once I figured out it was R-mouse I got into the cathedral. I am so relieved to see after two years a forum on this wonderful series (crossing fingers we'll see a fourth that's just as good if not better) is still active, I haven't been able to get the third until this week (my life is very complicated). I'm glad to hear the gloves are later on, was concerned I had missed them early on or something.
