Cities under the ground... - by Shadwell

Something that has bothered me with every RPG I've played so far is the small size of cities, they are always too damn small. They are almost never sized according to population.
So the obvious question to the Arx team is: how big is the largest citie going to be? As most of the population on the surface had to move underground the cities should realisticly reflect this fact.

Have you gar-balled the screenies on their site? Look like a pretty large scale to me... I know that doesn't address the building to citizen ratio directly, but if the scope
feels huge due to excellent craftmenship on the maps, then it rather takes care of the irk, doesn't it?

Agreed. I didn't mean to say that they should reflect the citizen to building ratio on an absolute scale (ie one building per citizen), but cities should be quite large. The major problem I have with games where large scale cities are involved is that even if they *do* feel large they all somehow seem to end abruptly - causing a "where did it all go?" effect, as it were.
... nice site you got there BTW, I like your Runedworld idea.
